The Rebels fought the good fight all year but were unable to push past the Tigers. It was a very close contest in the end with much good hockey and piles of excitement. If only the first couple of games in the series had been as closely contested the end result might have been more favourable. Thanks Rebels! On to next year!
The Rebels have tasted blood and are ready to ride roughshod over the Tigers! A change of goalies to a less experienced lad may have sparked a defensive surge that left the Medicine Hatters frustrated and floundering. Go Rebels!
I must say I was disappointed in two things....firstly, the so called "best seats" were actually quite awful. The vision of the ice was very obstructed, so at best a lot of corner hockey had to be watched via the big screen....secondly, as an out of town fan I was quite impressed with how polite the Red Deer fans were, however their mascot left a lot to be desired!! We arrived to our seats early and to say the least I was not impressed with Your mascot standing a couple of rows above us and throwing popcorn at us!! You need to remember that I, too, paid for my seats, and left money in Red Deer through hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and parking...I might think twice about travelling to Red Deer to support MY team. Not Impressed!!!

What happened to our Rebels????? They knocked our socks off taking the first series against Edmonton in 4 straight games then fell asleep against Medicine Hat!!! They need to pick themselves up, dust off, and get back into the game. The fans haven't seen them win the Memorial Cup since 2001 ..... it's TIME.
The Rebels were too flat to inhabit our 3-D universe last night. 9-1? Come on lads! Show us our true team tonight and collapse these paper Tigers into a single-D line of infinite mediocrity.
Absolutely fantabulous. Great family fun. Sitting beside the opponents penalty box allows you to 'encourage' them if you so choose. :)

Our group had front row seats beside the box. Rebels won 5-1. Two fights! My neighbours grandchild was the young hockey star of the game.
this game ended up going to overtime. Where the Rebels were able to score with about 1:24 left in the game for their 16th win in a row!!!!!! wow.
I was thoroughly enjoyed by the game, and was very impressed on how well the Red Deer Rebels were playing.I also liked our seats so we could watch the interaction on the players bench.

I have not been to a game since I was younger and they weren't called the Rebels then they were called the Rustlers..lol Thanks for all the memories again and will go to another game as soon as I am able to.
This was my first time at a Red Deer Rebels game or any event at the Centrium since moving to Red Deer in the Spring. The venue is great and the Rebels impressed me, they are much smaller than Saskatoon but play a very effective game.
Good game even know we lost, both teams played very good.
The process for buying and getting the tickets was smooth sailing! Only stood in line for about 5 minutes at Arena. I took my two daughters to Red Deer for the night to go see Oil Kings play the Rebels as we couldnt go on the Friday night in Edmonton. We sat right next to the Penalty Box, so the girls loved that,,,LOL. The game itself was very dissapointing as Edmonton did not play their A game, for sure!!! They weren't playing as a team! Their defense sucked!!! The Rebels beat them 8-1!!!!! Can't even blame the long bus ride,,,,LOL. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes and get their act together for their next encounter. AND DON'T EVER STAY AT TRAVEL LODGE on Gatez Avenue!!!!! Worst hotel room I've stayed in!!!! Not worth $100.00/night

This was my first time to the Rebels family night. Pizza, pop and a hockey game for under $20 was great. I wish I had known the Jersey bids closed before the game started.
