Rema Live In Concert

Born in Benin City, Nigeria, Rema found fame at the young age of 18. He grew up singing and rapping all throughout grade school -- it just came naturally to him.. In 2018, Rema posted a freestyle on Instagram of him singing D'Prince's track, "Gucci Gang," and it ended up going viral. D'Prince saw the video and decided to fly Rema to Lagos to offer the artist his first record deal. Rema then signed with Jonzing World -- a subsidiary of Mavin Records. In 2019, Rema topped Apple Music charts in Nigeria with the release of his first EP, Rema. Stardom continued to rise after his song "Iron Man" ended up on former President Barack Obama's 2019 summer playlist. But his rise to fame didn't stop there. Also in 2019, Rema released his first music video for the song "Dumebi" featuring an appearance by Nigerian fashion model and fashion influencer Diana Eneje. The video has since garnered more than 55 million views. Following the release of two more EPs, Rema released his debut album titled Rave & Roses in March 2022. The 16-track album features guest appearances by prominent artists such as Chris Brown, 6LACK, AJ Tracey, and Yseult. The album topped the Billboard Afrobeats chart within the first week of its debut.  Rema has since been nominated for and won numerous awards, including being nominated for the Viewer's Choice award at the 13th edition of The Headies. In 2020, Rema also earned the Soundcity MVP Awards for Best New Artist. That same year, he was nominated for Best Viewers Choice: International Act at the BET Awards.

    Best concert ever

    by Remalover on 2023-08-11

I went to both nights of Rema when he came to Toronto and it was the best nights of my life. He was the best performer and always had the best energy. Was very concerned about fans too and wouldn’t hesitate to pause the show to get the fans some water or a medic. Would recommend seeing him honestly like her said it wasn’t just a concert it was a Rema party

Great Show but Production was a bit meh

    by serena on 2023-08-11

Thought the show at Rebel in Toronto was amazing because Rema is a great performer, but the production was not ideal - the backlighting made him a shadow the whole time on stage since there was no spotlight on him so it was hard to see him from the back of the venue - also the smoke machines made it too foggy to see alot of the performance. Maybe also try incorporating a screen or something so people in the back can still see him - other than that its a dope venue!

This is was such a fun and lively concert. Rema is definitely an entertainer as well as a great artist. He was engaged with the crowd making this concert even more amazing. I would definitely see him again when he is on tour.

    Mad fun!

Close enough to stage to see artist. Able to record clearly. Hall was spacious enough for the capacity and had a washroom for easy access.

    Very disappointed!

    by Laura on 2023-08-09

Rema did not show up to the event after being 4 hours late! Stayed in line for another 2 hours and only got to see him perform for less than 10 min. Wasn’t from the city and journey all the way there just to see him disappoint me.
