REO Speedwagon are one of the definitive American arena rock bands to emerge in the ’70s, selling over 40 million records worldwide across 16 studio albums. Formed in 1967, the band’s 1978 album You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can't Tuna Fish launched a streak of nine consecutive albums earning an RIAA Platinum certification or higher, but REO reached truly rarified air with their Diamond-certified 1980 album, Hi Infidelity, which spent 15 weeks atop the Billboard 200. Hi Infidelity hosted the band’s first Hot 100 No. 1 single "Keep On Loving You" as well as its Top 5 follow-up "Take It On the Run," and the band would top the chart again with “Can't Fight This Feeling” from 1984’s Wheels Are Turnin’. REO Speedwagon have remained a touring force, organizing several co-headlining treks with genre heavyweights Styx, Chicago and Def Leppard. In 2022 alone, the REO and Styx joint tour earned $25 million. As of 2024, REO Speedwagon is made up of lead vocalist Kevin Cronin and bandmates Bruce Hall, Dave Amato, Bryan Hitt, Derek Hilland, and Matt Bissonette.

The energy and the music just pumped up the house. Good to see them!
Awesome music by talented group. Funny too! Had a fantastic time!
Love love this band and this was the first time j was actually able to make to their fantastis unforgettable show
been rocking with these guys for years and they did not disappoint me. this was a Fantastic show. Keep on rockin!!!
Fantastic!!! They sounded wonderful, Voices were just as good as the 80"s. Very fun, lots of energy!!!
Terrible acoustics, awful show, disappointing !!!!!!!
Wow - great concert. Definitely would love to see them again. Nice mix of the new and older music. They were simply amazing
It was a great show but wasn't impressed with the venue...
We went because this was a band from our youth, but these guys were much better than we expected. They seemed to enjoy playing as much as we enjoyed listening. Much better performance than some of the big acts we've seen lately we would definitely go see REO again
Every Minute of these 3 seasoned performers was excellent! I could feel every minute of the passion they poured into their performance! Just perfect....felt like closing my eyes and being a teen again ...lying on the floor listening to albums and dreaming of seeing them! Fantastic Show!
Ted Nugent was unforgettable. He rocked the house and has an excellent stage presence. It was awesome. Styx and REO Speedwagon were great too!
REO just keep amazing me with how good of band they are, and how the KEEP ON ROCKIN. Pat Benatar was the added bonus for us, as we're true REO fans, but I can tell you she was just as impressive. Incredible voice and still going strong at 57 years young.
Great fun show and they still al sound GREAT and they really now how to rock even after all these years.
Pat Benatar was solid. The sound was quite bad and someone did their best to sabotage the mix but her voice was so strong that these efforts failed and she put on a great show anyway. To bad someone was toying with the sound while she was putting on a killer show. he still has her full voice and Neil Giraldo showed what an underated player he is. REO had a much bigger stage. I do not understand why. They were boring and I left 3 songs in. The singer talked more than sang and they looked about as happy to be there as Vegan at a pig roast. Weak - just weak and tired. I give Pat Benatar 5 stars and REO zero.
Concert was good. Pat's voice was still excellent and her husband Neil can really play the guitar. She can still really rock at the age of 57. It was nice to see a husband and wife married over 28 years and in the same band together. Most bands can't stay together for that length let alone have a spouse in the band and on the road. They only showed up with two guitarist (Neil and a bass guitarist) and a drummer so could have had more of a band but for 3 instruments playing and her awesome voice, they still kicked out. REO had quite the stage setup and many band members and gave a better overall show- hit after hit- they played the whole album of high infidelity. Kevin's voice wasn't as good as Pat's but still good. Overall the show was good and didn't end till about 11:00.
Pat Benatar can still belt them out and looks great doing it. She sang everything we wanted to hear. Voice is still the same. Her and Spider have great chemistry that we could all see. Reo Speedwagon blew us away. They were so pumped, being a hometown crowd and 30 yrs since High Infedility. Kevin's voice is still great and you could see how much fun they were having. The crowd was totally in to it too. Great show overall. One of my top 10 shows
Another great show by two great rock bands. REO might have been a bit better - as Styx was a bit too predictable and played a similar set to the past few years. They should mix it up a lot more. Although most in attendance might disagree, I was really dissapointed ththat REO did not play one single song from the lastest cd. I was so looking forward to that. They did play two real oldies and seemed to have more energy than Styx - REO should have probably gone on last this night. I would easily go again to either band's show as it's always worth checking out. 38 Special was OK -I wouldn't go out of my way to see them again - though it was entertaining.
All 3 bands were phenominal! Styx absolutley rocked. 30 years since the first time I saw them, they are even better now. Flawless performance. Would have liked to see a bit more of .38 Special, about time they headlined again! REO, once the technical glitches were sorted out, was excellent. Probably the best concert I have been to! Thanks to all 3 bands for the superb entertainment!
.38 Special, Styx, REO Speedwagon...how could you expect anything but a great show with these 3 great acts? They started right on time, and wasted no time setting up in between acts. They ensured the crowd was left satisfied by the time the 11 pm curfew rolled around, ending with a rousing rendition by all 3 groups of the Styx/REO collaboration Can't Stop Rocking. None of the acts disappointed!
Went to REO and Styx at the Detroit DTE last night. It was a fantastic concert at a perfect venue. There are few places better to see a concert than the DTE. Even the bands commented on the venue.
