    Amazing musicians

by Denilson on 2012-11-19Lee's Palace - Toronto

In a historical venue (musically speaking - many great bands have made their Toronto debut here), RNDM were able to show the audience that they complete each other and are amazing musicians. It felt very intimate and it was obvious they are having fun on that stage and they get along together great. Loved the show! P.S. The opening guy (Gull) was strange, but a very interesting experience.

RNDM Is More Than You'd Expect

by JerkInTheCorner on 2012-11-14Lee's Palace - Toronto

RNDM, consisting of Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam, Joseph Arthur, and Richard Stuverud, played at Lee's Palace in Toronto on Sunday night and put on a fantastic show. The show was not sold out and it was obvious that the majority of those in attendance were there in support of Jeff but by the end of the show it was clear to everyone (including myself) that this was much more than just a side project. This is a strong debut album and it was performed live wonderfully. Joseph's voice was phenomenal, Richard was a beast on the drums and Jeff was enjoying the entire thing, jamming on stage with the other two. The show was just under two hours consisting of 17 songs. A wonderful cover of The Clash's "Magnificent Seven" to close the whole thing out. The merch was limited. No music being sold, just clothing and a tour poster. The opening band (one-man band) was really weird and not that great. I'm sure there's a niche audience out there somewhere that appreciates what he does but I think the majority of the people who were there spent most of his set scratching their heads as the home-made mask wearing, furry drum banging, one-handed guitar playing, sound effect looping man did his thing. All in all it was a fantastic show for RNDM. They surprised everyone in the room with their live sound. Joseph definitely has the voice that separates this project from Jeff's other stuff. I think we can all agree though that What Jeff really needs to be doing once this tour is over is get back in the studio with Pearl Jam and hammer out that long awaited next studio album.

    RNDM Not So RNDM

by gozzo on 2012-11-13Lee's Palace - Toronto

basically an excellent show....kind of one of those side projects that actually could go big if it weren't for Jeff Ament's membership in Pearl Jam. Awesome tunes, high energy and a fun presence with the orange coveralls, amps, drums and guitars. Joseph Arthur showed depth beyond his known solo career and that of Fistful of mercy, a pleasant surprise (and a great guitar player...i din't know). Well worth seeing them. Looking forward to another album.....
