ROBYN IN CONCERT:
Swedish synthpop sensation Robyn has teamed up with fellow Nordic electro titans Royksopp to bring fans one of the most dance-soaked concert events of the summer season. With her signature moves and futuristic image, Robyn puts on one heck of a bleeding edge show, and she never fails to wow audiences with her ability to sing through even the most complex choreography. Whether she's bouncing to the chugging beats and icy synths of "Dancing on My Own" or joining Royksopp on stage to perform collabo tracks like "Do It Again," she's sure to have fans dancing the night away on the Royksopp & Robyn Do It Again Tour 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Stockholm-born Robyn got her start as a child voice actor before moving on to music, performing her first self-written song on Swedish television at just age 12. By middle school she had signed to a major label subsidiary, and at age 16 she released her debut full-length Robyn Is Here. The album launched her to international fame as bubbly pop singles like "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)" cracked the US Top 10 and received club play around the world. After releasing two more dance pop albums in the early '00s Robyn parted ways with her previous label, and in 2005 she debuted a new electro-influenced sound and image with her self-titled fourth album. The stylistic shift was tremendously well received, pushing the album to No. 1 in her native Sweden and resulting in her first UK No. 1 "With Every Heartbeat." Back on tour in 2014 with longtime collaborators Royksopp, Robyn is primed to deliver another round of unforgettable high-octane performances.

by tata08 on 2011-01-29Métropolis - MontrealRobyn made the crowd sing and dance all night! from beginning to the very end everyone was pumped up for her show! at some point we all felt like we were at a club because the music was soo good! everyone sang along so it became hard to hear her voice at some points, that's how many people were singing!!!! The show was sold out and metropolis was so full with people. The crowd was amazing and robyn put on a great show! The show was an hour and 45 mins and it still felt short when she was done we were all sad! that's how good she was! Definitely going to see her again if she comes back to montreal! 10/10

by jktk on 2010-11-22Venue - VancouverConcerts in Vancouver are sometimes a bit formal: the crowd appreciates passively, performers seem a bit surprised that the crowd isn't more into it, and the thing goes off in a professional but slightly empty way. But sometimes something amazing happens where the performer and the crowd play off of each other, raising the intensity to a full-on frenzy. Robyn's show on Friday was one of these tear-the-roof-off-the-sucker parties. Robyn came out with absolute intesity, and delivered a soaring, sweaty performance with bumpin dance moves filling in the rare moments where she wasn't ripping it with her gorgeous vocals. She has one of the best voices of any female performer today, and her songs are some of the best around. There's a debate about who's better: Gaga or Robyn. It's a tough call, but Robyn's quirky and personal songs make her performance seem more heartfelt and genuine. One thing is undeniable though: with Robyn playing small clubs like Venue, those who manage to get tickets are the luckiest concertgoers in town! Will always remember this show!
