    Such An Amazing Experience!

by Healthyandfit on 2024-03-03Massey Hall - Toronto

Fantastic venue, the acoustics were phenomenal, comfortable seating on the first balcony, amazing view of Ron. Ron and band were excellent. He is very entertaining and funny too! Excited to go back again! Only thing I'll say negative is the cost of a drink. My husband got a small glass of Rye/Ginger it cost like $20...lol

    Ron was superb

by jamer on 2024-03-03Massey Hall - Toronto

Ron Sexsmith was fabulous the other night! Wow, he is truly gifted at songwriting and his voice sounds superb! This man is a very special and unique talent, all the greats, know he is great. I think if he had come along at a slightly different time, he would be a giant. His approach is so musical and so disarming. He is a rare and wonderful talent... One cool thing for me is I saw him many many years ago at the freetimes cafe late at night. When I heard his song "There is a Rhythm"I knew he was a rare and wonderful talent. It has played out like that all these years later (at least 30 years). I am so happy to see the body of work he has produced and his integrity is unmatched. The man is brilliant and always has been brilliant, right out of the gate. Carry on Ron, you are magnificent!

    Awesome artistry and performance!

by Captain Kirk on 2024-03-03Massey Hall - Toronto

I would have turned up the electric guitar a bit and I would have put the musicians centre stage and not off to one side, a wee bit, which made it hard to see the guitarist. Incredible artist and musicians, thank you!

    Easy, fun and deeply moving

by Eric A on 2024-03-03Massey Hall - Toronto

Absolutely loved the show. Ron is a master poet and performer. He made the show not too showy and shared wonderful stories and qiups. Emotional and meaningful as well. He brought on several guests to sing as well, you can sense his ego does not get in the way of sharing his heart and beautiful music in many forms with the audience.

    Nice cosy evening

by Patricia on 2022-10-03Le Studio TD - Montréal

Ron did a great couple of sets with fun and interesting chat between songs that gave some context to the songs, and the small venue was perfect to kick back with a beer and relax. Really enjoyed it, thank you sir!

    Super Ron

by Carl C on 2022-09-30Le Studio TD - Montréal

What an amazing show. I felt blessed to have been part of this evening with Ron. He is one of the most talented singer-songwriters to walk this planet. He has an uncanny way of getting to you on a personal level. Not dissimilar to James Taylor. I can’t wait to see him again.

So good to go to the NAC!

by Kathryn on 2022-04-06National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

We saw the great Ron Sexsmith in concert on April 1st. He was amazing, so talented and funny in a self-deprecating way. We wore our masks, as did everyone else. I would have preferred if we had had to show proof of vaccination. All in all, a wonderful night out!

    A lovely evening

by pmurray165 on 2022-04-05National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

A great date night! Ron came out on time and the show went smoothly picking up songs from a variety of albums and switching from guitar to piano easily. It was every we expected. To that end, the lack of pyrotechnics remains a shortcoming.

Amazing song-writing, intimate performance. Huge appreciation for the opportunity to hear such a gifted artist in what felt like an up-close-and-personal house concert vibe.

    Nice guy, but...

by MTG on 2022-04-01The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

You cannot help but like Ron Sexsmith: he seems like a nice, humble guy, and he writes get songs. But he is neither a terribly compelling performer nor an extraordinarily talented musician. An "Evening with..." was exactly that: Ron sharing a few short stories and playing a bunch of his short songs, by himself. It was charming, in a casual way, but neither particularly memorable nor especially entertaining. There's not much to complain about, but not much to get really excited about. I'm still a fan, but not sure I'd repeat for an event like this.

    Great as udual

by B Fufe on 2022-04-01The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Ron played to a full house. He played a two hour show of new songs and old hits. He’s incorporated some songs seated at the piano which added some variety to his solo performance. He was great as usual

Another great show by Canada's best kept secret. How is Ron not selling out the CTC? Canada's best singer song writer.

Ron Sexsmith just gets better and better.

by Maplestones on 2017-05-02National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

What can I say? Ron Sexsmith is one of the finest songwriters around and he and his band never disappoint in putting those songs across to an audience. They display tremendous skill and feeling in their music. The new album is terrific and I was happy to hear them play a good number of those songs. Of course, they played the fan favourites and some rarities, as well. I've seen Ron almost every time he comes to Ottawa. He's simply fantastic. Thanks again, Ron!

    Thank you Ron Sexsmith.

by stubblejumpers on 2015-10-02Arden Theatre - St Albert

We enjoyed everything about Ron Sexsmith at the Arden. His performance was intimate, professional, and varied. The theatre was perfect and the crowd seemed to appreciate the extraordinary gift they were sharing. I couldn't have hoped for a better concert. Thank you.
