Ronnie McDowell Tribute to the King - Exceptional, I'd see it again.
The Ronnie McDowell concert was very good. Ronnie is a great storyteller and had plenty of stories about Elvis. However the sound could have been better. We were sitting in the second row and Ronnie's voice was distorted and the microphone was booming and popping a lot.
I took a friend of mine Angela and myself to see Ronnie McDowell's Show, we had an awesome time, Ronnie McDowell son Ronnie Dean got us to go back stage to see his Dad, we had our pictures taken with all the performers. The show was awesome and Ronnie McDowell's nephew Jody McDowell sang Lou Armstrong's song What Wonderful World that was awesome, we got to talk to Ronnie, Ronnie Dean and Jody McDowell after the show. It is so nice for Ronnie Dean McDowell to have my friend and myself backstage, all the McDowell Men are very nice to talk to. For Angela and myself there was one part of the show that was so moving was when the Stamps sang Sweet Spirt it brought happy tears to my friend face it was so moving. Thanks to all the performers and the McDowell Men and musican's for an awesome show. Diane Hicks, Oakville, Ontario Canada I hope Casino Rama have them back next year, this would be awesome. It was a beautiful drive from Oakville to Orillia the fall colours were beautiful awesome show, worth the two hour drive.
Ronnie was in great form, his voice, the songs he chose were fabulous. It was a wonderful evening filled with great memories. The only thing missing was DJ Fontana, he was slated to perform and he wasn't there and nothing was mentioned about him at all. I hope he was okay.
I went to the Fitz. Casino to see Ronnie McDowell, he was awesome and he is son Ronni Dean who plays drums and tour manager was awesome on the drums, Jody, Ronnie's nephew who plays keyboard and sing was awesome also, I got to meet and talk with all three guys after the show, I also introduce the three guys to my two friends and they enjoyed there conversation with all three guys.
sang from louis armstrong to conway twitty to rigteous bros with great stories how they found the songs
Yes only one word describes the concert he preformed. - AWESOME!! This man is amazing and so versatile along with his band membes, one was his son and one was his nephew. For those that did not go see him, be sure to be first in line the next time he is back.
Great singing, great voice but not much by way of charisma, showmanship
Althought it was nice to see and hear the people Elvis performed with it would have been better to hear more singing and less talking. The show was 90 minutes and there was about 10 - 12 songs performed. Ronnie had some props he used during the show posters and cds that we found out were available to buy after the show. I don't think I will take in anymore of his shows I had to drive 3 hours for a short show. He also stayed at one end of the stage not giving people at the far end a chance to see him that much.
