Show was great but the venue was so amateur
by Kel on 2025-08-26Great Canadian Toronto - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5Pros: The show itself was fantastic, the queens did their best with all the technical hiccup they encountered through the entire show. The organization of traffic of people was good. Never felt it was over crowded and all hallways were very clean and wide. The washrooms were clean too. We traveled to and from the hotel via Uber and it was very easy to get picked up and organize pickups. Cons: For a casino theatre venue, it felt very cheap. The seating was like one of those college basketball gymnasiums and they pull out chairs from the wall cabinets. However the height and arrangement was pretty decent and we had a clear view to the stage. Over the course of the show, the lighting on the stage was always delayed by like 30 sec and never hit their mark on the performers. The TV screens off the side of stage never came on at the time when the performer was on stage until like a minute or two into their musical number. It felt very unprofessional on the casino's end. Stage management could be better. For example the cue cards could have been organized by the stage crew so that the performers didnt have to fumble through them. A little bit of foresight and anticipation c9uld have gone a long way. Drinks were so over priced. One tall can of beer for example was over $15+ cad. It was ridiculous.
