Very good concert. He is very very funny and super talented. Only complaint was that it was a bit short at 1:20 minutes. Could have listened to him for hours

    An enjoyable quickie

by AnnaKhole on 2012-10-02River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Very funny, love Russell Brand and went with a group of girls, had a ball!! The show was quite a bit shorter than expected but it was funny and enjoyable. Also, autograph signing afterwards was a TOTAL GONGSHOW - River Rock could have done a bit more to organize that part.

Hilarious from top to bottom. Fantastic crowd interaction and improvised elements. Perfect balance between crude, witty and intelligent humour.

Russell Brand Is Brilliant & A Must See!

by MiiWillikers on 2012-10-01River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

This was my first time seeing Russell Brand. He is intelligent in his humor, his politics, he was brilliant! I thought he was very charming, smart & respectful while he handled a heckler named Kelly and still had the audience laughing at the same time. His stand up was awesome because it didn't feel like a rehearsed & rehashed 'bit'. He showed his quick intelligence & humor with the local newspapers and his handling of different people( not hecklers) in the audience. He intelligently puts a focus on a political perspective without beating it over your head...such as when he spoke of immigrants..."they were over here for awhile...then they went over there....". His view of celebrities as "sequined turds" will forever stay with me.There is so much about Russell Brandt that I enjoyed that I would definitely see him again and again. I will be sure to check any city I'm travelling in for the opportunity to see him again. I hope he continues to return to Vancouver!

    Loved him!

by LessIsMore on 2012-10-01River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

I have always enjoyed Russell Brand in movies - his complete lack of shame in doing anything for a laugh has always drawn me in. Seeing him do his comedy show live though, really lets you see his intellect and his vulnerability and this makes him even better! He seems to be approachable and he suffers from the same frailty of being human as we all do - he just has an uncanny ability to take those experiences and make them humorous. Some might find him crude and callous but I think that is exactly what makes him so genuine and brilliant. He offers no apologies for who he is and what he says, he tells it like it is and yet he has more depth than he lets on. He is utterly hilarious and we were in stitches for the whole show. Scandalous! Loved it! You must see him - just not if you are too prudish!

    Overpriced for what you get!

by Gunga on 2012-10-01River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

$100 per ticket for this show was waaaaay too much! He mumbled alot and dragged his boring stories on forever. What I enjoyed far more than his performance was the River Rock theatre. It's small enough so that no matter where you sit, you're close enough to the stage.

    Russell Rocks!

by mcflyluva600 on 2012-10-01River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Just what I needed, some pure British humour, Russell definitely changed my initial thoughts on his 'naughtyness'. He was funny but not too crude, glad I went!

    Yay for "Skinny Legs"

by Flippa on 2012-09-30River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

Russell Brand had a free-flowing dialogue with and without the audience for two hours! He pretty much winged the whole show, kept it current and fresh, and was hilarious throughout.

What a lovely evening with a lovely man.

by missalisonrose on 2012-09-30River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

What a lovely evening with a lovely man. Totally off-colour at times, but heck, that's what most people love about Russell Brand. Absolutely hilarious - we love intelligent comedy. My girlfriend and I were shocked with how gentle he was with the audience - he wandered around at the start of the show: looking to meet his audience, cuddle ladies, and "only viciously mock those who ask for it" (by standing up, talking to him first or otherwise screaming at the stage nonsensically... ) Hope to see him again soon!

What a fantastic witty monologue of social commentary - very different style for a comedian and thoroughly enjoyed.

    Amazing!

by miss4tune on 2011-12-20Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

It was nothing like I expected. Russell Brand did a lot of audience participation. He is very intelligent and quick witted. I had a blast but I wished I had bought tickets on the floor to be closer to the action.

    Waste Of Time And Money

by CJDFNS on 2011-10-20The Jube Calgary - Calgary

Being from Montreal and experiencing the Just For Laughs festival year after year I can tell you, this guy is NOT funny. I suppose if I were drunk and enjoyed humour that sounds like I was back in junior high then sure, great show. Hahahaha. I do not get offended easily and his jokes did not offend me in any way. They were simply not funny. A few chuckles here and there but no serious laughing. Firstly, the show started approximately twenty minutes late. We had to sit through the promoter’s speech that seemed to go on forever. It took him a while to appear too. Honestly, after about fifteen minutes of sitting through Brand’s show I wanted to leave. Again, it is not his “raunchy” style or crude remarks. These do not offend me. He was just not funny. I have been to many shows where the comedian does not even get off their stool and they make you laugh. I will never see Russell Brand again or recommend him to any friends. A waste of our time and money. It was my wife’s birthday and if not for an amazing dinner after the show in Calgary, it would have been a complete disappointment. Good thing I did not end our Saturday night by seeing Russell Brand. I am still shaking my head. Sad really.

    Russell Brand was devilishly funny!

by Electric on 2011-10-19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

From the moment that Russell Brand walked on stage the atmosphere was electric. Russell captivated the audience's attention at the start and never once lost it on any topic. Russell proved that he is not just risky and funny but also extremely intelligent and well spoken. I laughed for the entire 90 min and I would see Russell Brand time and time again no hesitation.
