Fantastic show!! The band is tight. Amazing Verve leanings on lengthy Brother Down ending. Sam Roberts is a gentleman rockstar. Nothing sloppy. Refined and exact. History venue is a great spot for a couple thousand people to enjoy a show. Looking forward to his next show.
They are so good live!! Great set, venue, and crowd.
This was one of the best shows I've seen in a while...Sam brought all the hits and our group had a wonderful time rocking out...to top it off, History has to be the best venue in Toronto (save for the Danforth)...so clean and easy access to bars and good views...the sound was great too...only downside was the cost of a drink was ridiculous...$15++ for a can of beer...Jay-zus.
Great experience! Atmosphere, food, service and most importantly music and show were amazing!
The Sam Robert's Band and Jaywood were awesome. A full night of dancing and rocking to music. The crowd was singing along with Sam on every song.
I only knew a couple songs by them a few days before the concert but LOVED those songs. Most of my friends that study music love all their stuff so I knew there must’ve been something special. I spontaneously bought tickets and as an avid concert-goer, it was one of the best concerts I’ve been to. They sounded incredible (even better than the recordings) and now I have an abundance of new music that I am addicted to. 12/10 experience. I feel like I have been missing out my whole life!
They rocked, we rolled. It was a good time had by all.
I enjoyed the concert. It’s been my fifth Sam Roberts Band concert this year. I just wish that the ‘exclusive after party’ wasn’t so exclusive. I missed being able to chat with the singer after the show. My friends and I were looking forward to it.
Always an awesome time at the Bronson Centre. The Sam Roberts Band was no exception. You get in and out quickly and the atmosphere is outstanding!
Great show as usual, the music and light show are well choreographed. Sam put his heart and soul into the music and still delivers a tight set that the fans and new fans love !
Stay away from the sides of the balcony, especially near the back at the Bronson Center. We thought there was something really off with the sound - bass drum mic turned up to 14 or something. When we moved downstairs it was a lot better but under the balcony is also not ideal sound and we had headaches so left after less than an hour.
What an amazing night! Well worth my 4 hour drive from North Bay to Ottawa. These guys don’t only sound great, but they are true entertainers. Definitely going to try to take in a couple more shows on this tour. Thank you, Sam and band!
Sam is a very talented and energetic artist. From the oldies to his newest music, I can listen to it all day. The band puts on a great show, thank you.
Sam Roberts Band was so fun to see live (this was my second time). However, I don't love the Bronson Centre as a venue. General Admission is stressful, and there's also an awkward fenced off area in the middle of the floor that makes things worse. It was super annoying having people shove through the crowd constantly going back and forth to the bars, especially when navigating around the fenced area which I was unfortunately situated nearby.
SRB put on an amazing show in Montreal. The band sounded great, and Sam fronted the evening with style and class. Beanfield/Corona theatre staff were helpful as usual. In general I found the stage VERY dark. Some lighting from the front would have been nice. Also the WHITE spinning lights at the back of the stage when pointing towards the balcony are super blinding and distract from the show.
Sam Roberts has been around for over 20 years and I saw him for the first time at Toronto Beer Fest 2022 (after wanting to see him play since I was 11 years old and first heard Don't Walk Away, Eileen on the TV show Undergrads. Seeing him again at this smaller, more intimate venue was an amazing experience. The lyrics are so powerful. The band had an aura of positivity throughout the night, and I hope I get to see them again (not at a stadium). Theatre Beanfield was a great venue and I would go back.
August 3 2022, seeing them for the first time. Just epic man, loved it and would see these guys for sure. great venue, atmosphere was amazing. 5 star everything
I was in the bar business for 31 years. One thing you don’t mix is speeches and alcohol. The condition of our planet is very important but don’t expect the patrons who have been drinking to be paying attention to these speakers. I toured the floor while the speeches were being made and very few people were listening. They were there for one reason. THE SAM ROBERTS BAND.
The sound was way too loud, but besides that it was a great event.
