We had a great day. All the artists were amazing and I have already recommeded this festival to our friends for next year. The only item I will complain about was the cost of the drinks. We did purchase wine; three glasses but at 12.50 each; that's crazy. What really bothered us though was the cost of water. We brought empty water bottles and did buy i container of bottled water but at 9 bucks thats just robbery. The water should be FREE. Whether you bring your bottle to a truck and have someone fill it for you or have water cooler's placed throughout the venue, drinking water should be free. Also loved seeing all the CBC on air personalities on the stage throughout the day. See you next year!

My husband and I attended the concert and enjoyed it very much. Location was excellent and two stages offered lots of choices. We arrived just in time for the Debaters and then went to the main stage area where we left our chairs and pretty much remained there. Great variety of bands. Of M&M the best by far! Had a very good feeling with the crowd. Everyone was very happy and friendly and relaxed. Even though food became scarce around 7-8pm people were still happy and understanding. Way too bad about the cold wind! A warm sunny day would have made it just that much better and more comfortable. Please do it again!

    Bold and Cold

by London2 on 2013-05-27TD Echo Beach - Toronto

The inaugural event was excellent... well organized and timely.. Thoroughly enjoyed Jarvis Church, Kathleen.. and mostly Monsters and Men.. outstanding.. and of course, Sam Roberts... The venue was good... a little cold in the evening, but a beautiful moon... some magical moments... Only criticism... was charging 8 dollars for a bottle of water... when water is important and reduces dehydration... leading to all kinds of things.... Seems a bit excessive.

Of Monsters and Men are brilliant!

by MmeFirefly on 2013-05-27TD Echo Beach - Toronto

This was a really great day despite the cold wind blowing. The bands were great, Kathleen Edwards is fabulous as is Of Monsters and Men. We watched the Debaters which was very funny. I will definitely be attending this next year. Food and drinks were seriously pricey. Be bringing my own next time.

    CBC Music.ca Festival

by FreshDaySummer on 2013-05-27TD Echo Beach - Toronto

I think having such a variety of talent in one place was great. We drove 4 hours for the music festival and it was well worth the trip. I think Of Monsters and Men was awesome. They really drew the crowd in. And the snowstorm they created for the last song was very cool. I can't wait to see who they line up for next year.

    Amazing first year event!

by JayandRalph on 2013-05-27TD Echo Beach - Toronto

Sun was out and he vibe was awesome. The CBC gang put on an amazing first year event - I hope that it becomes an annual festival. Bands rocked it, especially loved of Monsters and Men. Sloan is an old time fave - they totally delivered. While I am not a country gal, I did really love Corb Lund. thanks for a great Saturday.

CBC Music Festical - great inaugral event for CBC!

by MJC66 on 2013-05-27TD Echo Beach - Toronto

The day was great with the weather cooperating for the all-day event at Echo Beach. The lineup was amazing with Kathleen Edwards being a favourite (she's never disappointed yet). The only complaint was that despite promotional pieces stating that water would be available if we brought our own bottles, we were told that there were no water stations (and we couldn't seem to find any on our own). It wasn't until the concert was over halfway through (and we'd already spent over $12 on bottled water) that the location of the water station was announced. Regardless of this, it was a fanstastic day all around. I'd do it again next year.

Jezabels & Sam Roberts were Fantastic

by Torontonian2012 on 2012-07-30Echo Beach powered by Rogers - Toronto

Originally, we came to the show to see the Jezabels - my brother-in-law was visiting from Australia and this is one of his favourite bands. They did not disappoint and we would have loved to hear more from them. We could take or leave The Bombay Bicycle Club. Sam Roberts Band was the surprise for us. We were not overly familiar with their music to start but are definitely fans now. We had planned to leave early but ended up staying for most of the show (much to the disappointment of our babysitter!).

    Sam Roberts at his Best!

by CMB2 on 2012-07-30Echo Beach powered by Rogers - Toronto

This was my first time at Echo Beach and it was a perfect night to be there. The beach atmosphere was very laid back and veiwing the CN Tower / City Skyline behind the bands while they were performing reaffirmed my belief of what a great city we live in. Sitting on our blanket watching the warm up bands ( Jezzabel & Bamboo Bicycle Club) was dreamy. However once Sam Roberts Band was slatted to come on the throngs of fans started to come forward and block our great view. Deciding to join the packed fans up front made for a good decision. Sam Roberts Band played new and old tunes with such great feeling and musicality keeping the energy and enthusiasm with the crowd to the very last note. So glad I was there and if you weren't make sure you get your tickets next time.

    Unforgettable driving rythyms!!Beer way overpriced

by scenicrick on 2012-07-28Echo Beach powered by Rogers - Toronto

this was a great venue, standing in soft sand, great sound. Sam Roberts Band were so tight, it really reminded me of why I tell people "check this band out live!". So many great songs in their pocket and the crowd loved them all. Lots of chanting, singing and good times for the audience. downside was the price for a can of beer --- $9.75. just gouging the captured crowd - not cool.

    1st Time at Echo Beach

by hutch on 2012-07-28Echo Beach powered by Rogers - Toronto

Awesome venue for a rock show. No pushing, lots of dancing and 3 great bands. Bicycle club was a total surprise. Amazing. Love you Sam, have seen you a dozen times, never as a head liner. Well done.
