SAY ANYTHING IN CONCERT:

Emo/pop punk band Say Anything have mastered the art of penning infectious, melodic pop songs without losing their edge, continually pushing their sound  forward by incorporating elements from genres as far-ranging as math rock and indie pop. The band expertly balances their high-octane material with frontman Max Bemis' softer side, treating fans at their live shows to the full gamut of sonic experience, from frenetic barn burners like "Alive With the Glory of Love" to introspective acoustic songs like "Belt." With their highly anticipated eighth album Hebrews due out in the summer of 2014, the band will hit the road on tour in support of the release.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Los Angeles in 2000, Say Anything self-released their first two EPs, Junior Varsity and In Your Dreams, as well as their debut full-length Baseball:  An Album by Sayanything. In 2004 they made their label debut with ...Is a Real Boy, released on Doghouse Records to a Top 10 spot on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart. Despite lineup changes and several hiatuses brought on by health issues suffered by frontman Max Bemis, the band's next three albums were all Top 40 hits on the Billboard 200, making them a festival staple and constant presence on the Vans Warped Tour. In support of the 2014 release of eighth album Hebrews, the band once again hits the road for another round of high-octane shows.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

" Say Anything put on an incredibly upbeat and amazing show. If you get the chance to see these guys live... it's a must!"

" From the moment they took the stage to the moment Max left, the venue was filled with energy. It was probably one of the best concert experiences I have ever had."

" Say Anything was, of course, spectacular. It was super exciting to hear them play so many of their older songs that I never thought I'd get to hear live. Overall, great show!"

Awesome nostalgic show thanks to Saves the Day & Motion City. Not a fan of Say Anything. Hope Motion City comes back again soon, this time as the headliner where they belong!!!

I loved seeing MCS (thats the main reason I went) but I would have liked to see MCS just play a full show, but the other 3 bands were not too bad. I would go again if i could :)

    Say Anything + Moneen amazing.

by JonW on 2009-10-29The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Got there just in time to see Moneen. They are amazing, and need to be heard by all. I wish they played a few more new songs, but loved that they played a good mix from all albums. Considering all the crap thats gone on for them on this tour they just rocked the place. Say Anything had the crowd going crazy and had so much energy. I am a fan of that.

    Overall a good gig

by Richo on 2009-10-29The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Moving Mountains were great but their set was cut short and they didn't get to play one of their songs as a result. Overall they played well however their vocals weren't high enough in the mix. I had never heard of Eisley but they left a good impression on me. The singer said something about having a cold or a sore throat but she still did a good job of singing and this female fronted rock band performed well. Moneen (the home Country heroes) stole the show really with a great mix of old and new. They played a few songs off their new album which the crowd loved as well as a few older fan favourites. Their performance was flawless and as always they were full of energy getting the crowd going. There were mosh pits, mini fight pits, crowd surfers and everything. The head liners Say Anything, put on a good show although I had never heard this band before and hearing songs for the first time live rarely does them justice. Overall they were entertaining but honestly I preferred the first 3 bands. But that comes from my musical taste rather than the quality of the performance.

    Absolutely Amazing.

    by Steve837 on 2009-10-26Clutch Cargo's - Pontiac

Max Bemis and the rest of the SA crew put on a show that was nothing short of amazing. They put their heart and soul into the show and were sincerely extremely appreciative of the fans they have. I wish all bands were like these guys. . . they appreciate where they are at in life, and they leave it all on the stage for their fans. Thank you for this amazing show. You guys are unreal.
