Was good but could have been a shorter intermission....the kids were pretty antsy.
I went with my two small children, my mother, my sister, and my 8 month old nephew. I drove from the Northwest Territories (12 hours) with my kids to go to the show. And it was worth it! There was singing and dancing in the isles (we were in floor seating) and clapping! I know the kids had a wonderful time! The little break in the middle was perfect for bathroom time. The characters and stage colors kept the kids intersted and excited (and it made for great pictures!). As an adult, I had fun watching my kids get excited over Elmo and Big Bird, and I had a chance to sing the songs too. The price was great as well! Very reasonable!
My grandaughter went to this event and enjoyed the show. She is only 2 1/2. Everytime Elmo came out she would shout to him. And when he left the stage, again she would shout out his name for him to come back on stage so she could see him. Great show for the children!!
My 3 year old son was captivated by the show! We were in the 5th row from the stage and could see all the characters very well. He was disappointed that none of the characters moved down the isle to greet children. He felt a bit let down that the kids in the front row had several opportunities to shake hands, touch and hug the characters throughout the show, but those sitting further back had no such opportunities. Other children tried to get closer, but were chased back and told not to block the isles. (Why not? The characters didn't use the isles anyway!!!) I was not impressed with the very large balloons that were sold (by the stage) during the intermission (neither were other parents sitting nearby). They announced that these balloons should be kept under the seats for the duration of the show, but that didn't happen in all cases. These balloons blocked the view for many of the children and parents. They would have sold just as many balloons if they had brought them out at the end of the show and maybe had a meet & greet with the characters for a few minutes at the conclusion of the performance. We were further disappointed to find that the smallest T-shirt size available for purchase was 6X. Rather strange considering this show is designed more for pre-schoolers than for school-aged children. They had sold out in Calgary the week before and had not planned ahead to have appropriate merchandise available in Edmonton. Inspite of the poor marketing of merchandise, we enjoyed the show immensely and would not hestate to recommend it! Our "Little Man" is still gushing about it! Don't forget to bring your camera!!!!
Amazing My son lasted all but the last 10 minutes. Would have lasted the whole time but with the intermission it was a little too long. Would take him again!
I got the tickets for my niece for her birthday (she was turning 3). She went and saw Elmo and loved every minute of it! She was telling everyone about it for a week afterward! In the words of her mom... "Best birthday Present EVER!!"
Sesame Street was a great show!!! Our kids (2 and 4) loved it, and sat in amazment for a long time. The costumes, colors and music was great. Our kids loved sitting close and how the characters kept coming off stage. The "black light" songs were great, and so pretty to watch. We found the show was a tad bit long- especially for the younger ones who were getting frazzled by the end. All in all we would defiently do again, and would recommend the show!!
Our family was throughly exhausted after such a fun and exciting morning. Our family ranges from age 46(dad) down to our youngest 1.5 yrs. A total of 6 people within our family and Elmo was the highlight. thank you to the staff for the great picture taking. Can't wait for the next event.
We took our 3 year old daughter to the show. Had seats on the floor and so she loved it when characters came by to dance and say hi in the aisles. Show was fun and had recurring theme of 1-2-3 Imagine with me. All the characters were there so that was great as Grover is our daughter's fav. We did have a great time but I have to say the Wiggles show was much more fun since we could sing to the songs and dance along. We weren't too sure what to think of the elmo balloons being sold during intermission (by the way I had expected a 1 hr show not 90 min with 15 min intermission). Balloons were $10 but I guess it was ok since it's all going back to sesame street. All in all something fun to take your preschool toddler to.
we brought our one three and seven and a half year old and they all had a blast. the look of amazement on their faces when the characters first came on stage was priceless. the only con we experienced was the show was too long for our one year old, but other than that all of us not just the kids had a good time, thank you.
Kids (ages 3 and 1) really enjoyed the show. Plenty of singing and dancing to keep them entertained.
This is the 2nd time I've taken my daughter to see Sesame Street Live when they've been here. Just as entertaining as it was when I was a child (35+ yrs ago). She LOVED it, as did all the other kids and parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/friends there. Costumes were spectacular. Can hardly wait until next time.
My 4 year old Son Loved it. There is lots of music and dancing throughout the show. The kids stayed interested throughout the whole performance. Thank s
Show was good, lots of bright colors and lively music to keep our 4 and 1 year old dancing. It was nice that the seats weren't packed - there was room to spread out and dance. If the show was sold out, we couldn't have moved - very tight seating with diaper bags, snacks, etc. Only complaint was that it was a little long.. .lots of parents around us left early.
Great songs, all very colorful. Nephew 2.5 yrs old loved it. Brought back great memories for me and my sisters even if we didin't know all the new songs and characters.
The show was Great!! The meet and greet was very quick and felt a little rushed also a little disappointed Big Bird wasn't there.
the minute the stage went up, we were sitting in row 5,and my 2 year old daughter saw the characters come out, well, lets just say the eyes of mom and dad were a bit misty. The look on my daughters face told it all, she was enthralled by the show.it was fantastic. The time of the show went by so fast, but their wasn;t a minute wasted that is for sure.Would i recommend it for anybody.you bet! Thanks for the wonderful time at the show, and of course MTS STAFF! They were soooooo helpful in us finding our seats and helping us out with any questions we had.
My daughter who was 2.5 years old loved it. The only thing I was truly disappointed in was the lack of merchandise for sale in the lobby. My daughter is completely in love with Abby Caddabby and there was very little of her anywhere to be seen. There was lots of Elmo and if you like him you will be pleased. Our seats were fantastic, and the music was very good. I heard my daughter singing in the back seat all the way home! I also wish the characters would of walked out a little farther to make contact with the kids.
This show was okay. Last years was much better in terms of story line and message/meaning. I took my 4 year old and we left before it ended, no big deal with leaving early that's for sure.
The show was ok - I was expecting more audience involvement, my 4 year old got bored and was falling asleep about an hour into the show - which is unusual for her.
