    123 Sesame was fantastic

by proc on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The entire performance was excellent. The characters were so believable and looked exactly like they do on the show. I loved it and so did my two year old granddaughter

    123 Imagine was really great

by Kris123 on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

My 4 year old daughter loved it from the beginning until end. The costumes were very bright and authentic looking. I would love to take my nephew and neice in a couple of years to see your production as my own daughter will be a little less interested in Elmo and friends when she is 6. The only negitive thing is to bad the merchandise is so expensive, I see so many kids that got nothing when mine got 4 things. Alos the balloons are great but again 10 dollars is a litle pricey and should be offered at the end of the concert.

The best show yet for my little boys. The Sesame Street characters came out into the audience to see the kids. Highly recommend, worth the money.

    Best kids show so far

by Disapointed242 on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

We've done a couple with our daughter but the Sesame Street one was definitely the best one. She's almost 3. Loved every minute of it. Maybe 10 minutes too long and a lot of kids were "gone" the last 10 minutes. And Groover got shafted in the show, but that's a personal favorite...

    Sesame Street was great!

by mamaDing on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The show was absolutely great. My two and a half year old had a blast. The characters were very entertaining and my little girl clapped and rocked out to the tunes in her seat. Boosters were included and the seating were slanted so all the kids could see the show regardless of where you were seated. If your child loves characters in suits, I highly recommend purchasing aisle seats on the main floor as the characters run off stage and give high fives and hugs. My DD got to high five Elmo, hug Grover and shook hands with Abbey. The price per ticket was a little steep because babes in arms needed to purchase a full price seat too even when they didn't take up the space. Otherwise it was well worth taking the family to. Be prepared to shell out more bucks for memorabilia as well. $10 Elmo balloons, $8 programs, and other little trinkets.

    Sesame Street Live

by Southerngramma on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I took my two little grandchildren and I am a senior. I found it very loud in the first balcony which actually to my ears, distorted a lot of the words. Other than that we found the performance delightful and very high energy. I bought the CD and the grandchildren, 5 and 3, love it. The actors deserve a huge round of applause for their tiresome effort. One thing I found a little dismaying was the fact that the bunches of Elmo balloons were brought out at intermission for a cost of $10. I think that's really steep and would not have minded paying $5.00 for each balloon. I really feel that's "fleecing" the public and it's very hard to say "no" to a child when many of the parents around you are buying one (or more) for their children/grandchildren. What about those families that just managed to get enough money together to take their children and then have to explain why they can't have an Elmo balloon when so many other children can.

123 Imagine was fantastic and interactive

by tamscam on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

We have taken our dautgher to SEVERAL shows at the Jubilee and this is the only one that doesnt use CHEAP props or screen displays. Sesame street was here last year and again this year and both times has blown all other shows out of the water...The fact that the characters come down and walk down the aisle made so much of an impact on some of those little kiddos.. Sound quality was amazing story line very simple very repetative my dautgher runs aroundsaround acting out the 1-2-3 imagine.. She never mimics the other show mostly cause the concepts are to high. My dtr is 4 yrs old

    123 Imagine was fantastic

by waterbound on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Fantastic show for the whole family. Brought both our boys ages 4 and 15 months and they were engaged the whole time. We would definately recommend his event. Not too long, 90 minutes with a 15 intermission. Seems like it went faster.

Excellent performance. The only thing during intermission they were selling elmo balloons and once they children had them they wanted to play. Security would come around and tell us to keep them down. They should of been sold at the end of the performance. Little ones were distracted by the balloons and missed the second half of the show.

    very entertaining

by Chocco on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

I was expecting a very childish production that would only please my 5 year old but it was much better. The songs where catchy and the dancing was beautiful. The production had different theme songs from different cultures and ethnic groups as well as counting and letters which gave the show it's educational value. The kids really enjoyed the lively costumes and life-size puppets. I do not recommend this play however to very young children. We saw a number of parents with babies and 2 year old children and I don't think they got much from seeing the production. My son is 5 and he loved it. All in all the play was very good.

    123 So much fun

by Browneyess3566 on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Great Show for kids even if they don't watch Sesame Street. It was hard for my daughter to see though sitting in the Jubilee theatre chairs so either bring a booster seat or rent one from the theatre. Other than that, my daughter LOVED it!

    I forgot I was at a children't show!

by dancerjen on 2010-07-18Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This show was fantastic. My 2 year old daughter loved it. During the 2nd half I forgot that I was watching a children's show. The only thing that I didn't like was that they try to get a lot of money out of you. They bring out Elmo helium balloons at intermission (and what kid doesn't want a balloon) and they cost $10!!! Parents were all lining up with their kids to get them and then turning around when they found out how much they were, which of course made their kids cry.

    Disappointed with the Jubilee

by momwhohadfun on 2010-07-17Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The ushers were pleasant and helpful to your seats. What I found disappointing was 1. The Sesame Street Characters told the kids they could dance in front of their seats. there really was no room, so when they danced in the isle it was an issue as the usher directed the children back to their seats. Kids did not cause any havoc. 2. Cameras- Audience was asked not to to take pictures or record. They are on cell phones, and that the ushers were asking people to stop taking photos and interrupting people watching the show. 3. My bone of contention: The balloons- during intermission these wonderfully expensive big balloons appear, and we are expected to keep under our seats for the 2nd half of the show. Sell them after wards then. that is really a big thing to expect of children, the strings were long enough that they would not block the vision of people in the balcony's. My opinion. Thank you for asking

    Fun for kids and Adults

by pbrews on 2010-07-17Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

The show was fun, well presented. my kids had a blast. It was fun to walk down memory lane with my babies. My husband struggled with Elmo's voice, but the count mad his experience. By the end of the show my boys were up dancing and singing. the show was just long enough. the sets were great. We loved the butterflies. Would attend again!

It was an excellent musical show! The speakers were not too loud for the children. My 2 1/2 years old son was excited to name all the characters. My 15 month old daughter was even more excited as she danced with the music. It was more fun for the parents to watch their kids being so excited and happy during the venue.
