    It was OK

by davidkeithjones on 2010-05-23Rogers Centre - Toronto

I sat with my son in the back row. The view was excellent considering the ticket price was the cheapest possible; so my first tip is: don't bother with the floor seats. The actual even itself was OK, it wasn't anything spectacular. There were some songs that the kids did not recognize at all ( I didn't know they rapped on the "street" these days). The two main problems were: 1) The sound was terrible. Considering the Rogers Centre has some considerable audio power this shouldn't have been a problem. It was hard to hear what was going on. 2) The Rogers Centre concession prices were beyond bad. The prices felt like we were living in post war Germany! Seriously! $9.75 for three chicken strips? $4.75 for a bottle of water?!?!?!?!

    My daughter had a blast

by Maddad on 2010-05-23Rogers Centre - Toronto

Sitting 4 rows from the front, it was nice to see the characters come off stage and meet some of the kids.

very boring show. I noticed the entire audience was bored. Kids are interested in more action.

A little on the long side but good.

by wigfan on 2010-05-22Rogers Centre - Toronto

The show was a little long, by the end the kids were not paying any attention and were running around. A great thing that they did was that during the show each of the characters would come into the audience, the kids loved that. We had floor seats and the kids had a hard time seeing over the adults in front of us. Overall it was fun.

Nice idea for the storyline but a bit too complex for young children. Which toddler is going to understand chlorophyll?! They should do the show more like what comes on TV and what the young kids are familiar with, especially the songs. I would not recommend this show for kids younger than 4.

    not good at all

    by 71bert on 2010-05-22Rogers Centre - Toronto

Just got back from this morning's concert at the Rogers Centre and have to say this was pretty bad. The intro was good but that's about it. Very boring. Our daughter was antsy after about the first 15 minutes. What really got to me was that the characters kept coming out to the crowd but only came out to the first 2 rows! Nothing like spoiling the heck out of 5-10 kids out of the whole audience. What was the point of having anything other than the 1st 2 rows! Very disappointing for all! The other thing was that the storyline and the songs were pretty boring (didn't recognize even 1 of the songs!). Won't be going to another Sesame Street Live production (you're better off going to see Yo Gabba Gabba....now that was entertaining!)

    We love Elmo

by Ashbrooks on 2010-05-22Rogers Centre - Toronto

It was good but wasnt great. The 1st show was better. But we still Loved it. But it would have been cool if you put in some Elmo's world songs.

Felt very amateur and low budget. Would be way better if the characters interacted with the kids. For that kind of money the whole family could have spent the day at the zoo.

    Elmo's Green Thumb

by Mommyof2girlsinTO on 2010-03-21Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Good music, great characters. My daughter really liked seeing Elmo, Abby, and the Grouch. I wish the Grouch would have come closer to our end of the stage at some point. Great dancing! The Elmo balloons were $8 and brought down to the seats at the intermission. We didn't buy one and because they were right beside her for the entire intermission she had a bit of a tantrum.

Our daughter was in total awe when the show started! Great production, but a little too long to hold the attention of a child.

    2 Green Thumbs Down!!

by Anonymous on 2010-03-12Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

This was such a disappointment. The songs were unrecognizable and props were scarce. My 3 year old son identifies with the songs he hears on Sesame Street (rubber Ducky, Elmo's World, Monster in the Mirror etc....) and could not get into this at all. There was too much talking about plants/planting/growing. Yes, there were occasional numbers in it and the bee, but it was not engaging. We went to last year's Sesame Street where Elmo Grows Up and it was a much better production with songs the chilren knew and could even sing to. This was a total disaster too. I looked around and there were actually parents that had their eyes closed. What a waste of time and money.

    Elmo's Green Thumb

by Richmar on 2010-02-14Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was very good. The only thing was that it was too loud. Some of the voices of certain characters were very loud. My grandson wanted to go home, kept putting his hands over his ears, saying too loud mommy. This is my 3rd year going to Sesame Street and haven't thought it was too loud at the previous two shows.

by jocye on 2010-02-08Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

hello, my kids really enjoyed going to see elmo's green thumb, the only thing was that the products sold were very expensive, this is not the first time that we went to the fox in detroit, we try to do alot with our children, and the products were not that expensive before.

    What a wonderful show!

by LaDuchess on 2010-02-05Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

My daughter, my grandbaby and I all truly enjoyed this show. The music and the dancing was just fabulous! The story line was cute too. I was amazed at how the characters were all so in snyc with the whole production. I always enjoy the bright colourful stage and all the scenery that sesame street brings to life. This was our second elmo show and we look forward to see what next years show will bring. Thanks for a wonderful time . We all had fun as did the whole audience. Sandra Windsor, Ontario
