Singing Out Tickets

The concert took place as scheduled, following all the safety and health measures. It was very weird to see a choir singing with masks on but this made it even more valuable. We were not able to take any videos or pictures, which is unfortunate, but I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The choir members, the director and the production team did an excellent job at putting together this show, against many odds, and have been able to keep the choir alive for so many years. We need more independently produced presentations like this, community-led spaces where people can find a sense of belonging. Do not miss it next year!

I enjoyed the concert. Buying a ticket was easy and fast. I arrived an hour early, as recommended, to avoid delays in checking proof of vaccinations. The Bluma Appel staff were friendly and efficient. It was novel for me to access the program online and I found it awkward because it could not be saved. Then too, I’m reluctant to turn on a phone, with it’s annoying light, during a performance. I liked the variety of music and the interesting personal reflections, along with a mixture of live and video, and the solo pianist. It’s impressive all songs were off book, and I found the pacing was good with spirited singers. It’s tempting to join the group!
