About

Skillet’s aggressive, distortion-heavy Christian rock has earned the band a legion of young fans who identify with their edgy, modern take on faith-based music. With their eighth studio album Rise in 2013, the band delivered a strong collection of anthemic songs carrying messages of resilience and hope, earning a No. 1 spot on the Billboard Rock Albums and Christian Albums charts. Critics praised the record for its craftsmanship and the near-symphonic proportions of singles like “Sick of It” and “Not Gonna Die,” noting that the band had grown and evolved without losing their signature sound. Formed in 1996, Skillet is fronted by husband and wife duo John and Korey Cooper. In addition to numerous GMA Dove nominations, the band has also received two Grammy nominations for their albums Collide (2005) and Comatose (2007). On the road in 2013, the band has been treating ticket buyers to their visually stunning live show while building anticipation for their headlining spot on the The Roadshow 2014 tour.

  • Skillet was AWESOME

A GREAT experience! Spoken, Art of Dying and Skillet were unforgettable! I can't wait till they play in the city again! I'll be there!! HOWEVER, this venue was WAY TOO SMALL for this event! When Skillet comes back, I hope they come to Rogers. Or, Northlands Coliseum or, at least Edmonton Expo Centre! Please??!

Skillet put on a great show! I have only seen them at music festivals in the past, so getting to see them up close and personal at a small venue was a treat!

This concert was absolutely insane. From the light show, mixed with smoke machines to the amazing music, it is definitely a night to remember. This Skillet concert changed our lives, and will remain close to us forever. We are all so much more in love with Skillet than we were before, and we are so glad we were able to experience this concert!!

Skillet is an amazing band to see live! I've seen them before, and I want to see again soon! They are one of those bands that are better live than the CD, in my opinion! They played a good variety of songs across 3 different albums. They had great sound, and I love the interaction with the crowd, as well as the message they got across! Opening Band "The Letter Black" was okay, hard to hear the vocals. "RED" was pretty good as well, no complaints there. They played the songs I wanted to hear. Overall, a great experience! Worth the drive from Canada!
