About

"SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW is to clowning what Cirque du Soleil is to the circus." VARIETY

"SNOWSHOW is an unmistakably unique, unmissable comedy masterpiece, childishly thrilling with innocent amazement and lyrical beauty. As the show ends, no one wants to leave the theatre."

Star of "Four Weddings and Funeral" and Daily Express London critic Simon Callow said, "SLAVA'S SNOWSHOW is the single most beautiful thing I have ever seen in a theater in my life."

  • Second time watching the show

by Jth on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I watched it for the first time over 20 years ago and it was so memorable that as soon as I saw that it returned, I had to buy tickets to watch it again. And I loved it just as much the second time.

  • Lack of a storyline

by Jad on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

The synopsis should have mentioned this show is for little kids. We didn't find it funny at all.

  • Thoughtfully Playful

by Bubbles on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Surreal. Evocative. Unimaginably imaginative. Playful. A tug of war between emotions where the light succumbs the darkness. Loved it!

  • It was ok

by GRanna on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The show was ok, not great. First off it was about 90 degrees in the theatre so it was super uncomfortable. But the show itself was not as entertaining as I was hoping it would be. It was suuuuuper slow, which I get is the style of the clown act, but there were times where nothing was happening for so long I actually lost interest. I was expecting it to be more humorous as well. There were only a few parts when I laughed out loud. But there were cool parts as well. Overall I would say it was an interesting experience. A little weird but cool. Not sure I’d go again though.

  • Wonderful and amazing

by Roman J on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The show is absolutely wonderful by all means: music, artistic performance and choreography. I wish this type of art was available more often in Canada. It is great for all age groups. Overall it is the experience we will never forget.

  • Too slow

by Tatiana on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Same skits from decades ago, nothing new but better props, same costumes, same music, WAY too slow. My kids (6, 12 and 14 year old) were fidgeting and complaining and wanted to leave. We barely sat through the end. Of course, the balloons and the fake snow were the highlight of it all. Very disappointed. :(

  • Just Sayin

by Hw on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The traditional mime style presentation, storyline, and incredible set changes were definitely a unique experience. My biggest issue is the promotion leads one to believe it is interactive and inclusive to all of the audience. It’s not! The orchestra patrons had all the fun while we watched from the balcony - we actually couldn’t see the performers when they moved into the audience. Tickets are fair priced, but travelling into the city from the suburbs, paying for parking, and feeling we would have enjoyed it more on video, was very disappointing.

  • Masterpiece

Slava’s snow show is an absolute masterpiece, a mesmerizing blend of creativity and artistry. What a unique ability to weave together humor, emotion, and breathtaking visuals creates an unforgettable experience. The performance is a testament to Polunin’s unparalleled talent and dedication to his craft. A must-see for anyone seeking a transcendent and enchanting theatrical journey.

by VG on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

it was magical, touching, funny and truly theatrical.

  • Kids loved it!

by JJ on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Took our 5 and 6 year old and they were absolutely enthralled (giant balloons and snow blowing helped). Loved that the kids in the audience played with the snow during intermission. Beautiful story and performance for adults and really captivating for kiddos.

  • Loved it!

by Chrissy on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the show. Recommend that you sit close to the front to get the most out of the show! Ideal for all ages!

  • Left at intermission

by TooBad on 2024-01-02Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

No story, not humorous, too dark. Wish there was dialogue.

  • Bored

It's hard to call show. It's boring and silly funny. If you like clowns - maybe you can enjoy it. My 5&9 yo didn't like it. We left after the first part.

  • Not the best show of Slava's Polunin

by Natalia on 2024-01-01Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

First time I saw the Snow show in Toronto two years ago and it was much better. This time I really like interactive part, but actors looked tired and performance itself wasn't the best.

  • Great Show

by Shows Goer on 2024-01-01Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great Show I would recommend this show for the families. The artists are truly professionals. Our family've got a lot of positive energy.

  • The best ever - you will cry

by A fan for 42 years (since 1981) on 2024-01-01Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The most wonderful, impossible to describe show. Funny, sad, hilarious, poetic, touching, encouraging, pensive, strikingly intelligent and beautiful. I am a fan for 42 years (first saw its humble beginnings in 1981), and since then Slava performances only improved.

  • Sad clown

by Serge on 2024-01-01Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Very entertaining performance. The show was really amazing both artistically and technically. Should I especially mention the terrific last scene of a snow storm accompained by Carmina Burana music? I love it. However it is sad. I mean that almost all episodes have a bitter taste of a parting, farewel, passing time, lost friends and aging. I have to say that all kids in the theatre were excited but as for me it was a philosophical reminder of eternety.

  • Slava's Snowshoe

by Victoria on 2024-01-01Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The show is awesome. Very entertaining, funny and definitely One-of-a-kind. And also, due to the nature of this show, no matter what language you speak you can enjoy it as much.

  • Fun for all audiences!

by ALO on 2024-01-01Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This is not our first time seeing Slavas Snow and it did not disappoint. It’s captivating, funny and engaging. Loved the music and colours! The ending just puts a smile on everyone’s face - young and old…
