About

Snoop Dogg is a West Coast rap pioneer, entertainment mogul, and one of the world’s most beloved pop culture icons. His three-decade career is unparalleled, with 16 Grammy nominations, 35 million albums sold worldwide (his first album, 1993’s Doggystyle, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200), and three Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit songs, including a feature on 2010’s “California Gurls” with Katy Perry. In 2022, he won an Emmy Award for his part in the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show with fellow icon Dr. Dre (who discovered Snoop in 1992), Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent. In addition to his extensive work as a chart-topping recording artist, Snoop Dogg is a successful entrepreneur with investments in global consumer brands, entertainment properties, food/beverage, Web 3.0. He is also a global ambassador (and venture capitalist) in the cannabis industry, which merged with his prolific music career on 2018’s Puff Puff Pass Tour presented by MERRY JANE, Snoop’s cannabis-focused digital media platform.

    Hmmm

by Muggs on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

Had to say it wasn't what I expected. The opening band Slightly Stoopid opened. Not really to my music liking. They played for quite a while. Snoop came on around 10:00pm doors had opened at 7:30, and he only played for an hour!!! Loved the fact that Akon was there and sang a song. But in all honesty my boyfriend and I were not impressed. I saw Snoop's concert a couple years ago in Victoria b.c. and he was just amazing, guess I had higher hopes.

    Snoop Dogg was AWSOME!!!

    by Queenbee14 on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

Snoop Dogg himself was unforgettable and amazing!!! I would recommend seeing him to anyone!!! Akon making a guest apperance was really cool. The first opening act was not that bad but Slightly Stoopid was only really good when they had Half Pint (Reggae artist from Jamaica) However the venue (Pacific Coliseum) was horrible... it was so hot in there it was unbearable. Plus with no air circulating the venue was so smokey it was hideous.

    Same as always

by Noopfan on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

This was my third time seeing Snoop and although I remain a huge fan and he is so good live... His concerts are always the same. Same songs, same things be says, same tupac tribute, sexy ladies in Vancouver talk. Dude has so many albums and is such a great rapper but he needs to change it up a bit. Seriously!

    Sooooooooo Good

by Madddy on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

I went to the show for Mickey Avalon, who was unbelievable, but I hadn't really expected anything special from Slightly Stoopid or Snoop Dogg. Both turned out to be amazing and made the reasonably priced tickets well worth it. The only downside was that Mickey Avalon started a bit early so I missed the first song. Other than that an amazingggggggggg show

    BLAZED and really CONFUSED

by nawledge on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

This concert was very enjoyable. I never seen Snoop live before and i was really surprised to see how good he is live. The opening act Mickey Avalon was REALLY GREAT. The show started at 7:30 and Snoop did not come on stage till 10pm, but put on a great show.

    meh.

by PowPow on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

I'm giving this show 3 stars more for the reason of the venue (Pacific Colliseum). We paid twice what others were paying for our floor seats at $75/ticket), yet, we weren't allowed drinks on the floor, we weren't allowed to move our chairs aside to dance, nor were we allowed to move around the floor to stand beside friends or get a better view. I also thought there would be some interaction between Slightly Stoopid and Snoop, but they were very different performances. Both good, but better seen individually i think, unless your just looking for a cooler place to smoke some weed. Snoops stage setup wasn't nearly as complete looking at Slightly's and was 3 times the performance time, so it was more like Snoops show than a combination effort.

    awesome

    by 35577 on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

the whole concert was awesome. never had been around so much smoke in my life. snoop could have played for a little longer though, but he was great regardless. then we missed the opener Mickey Avalon (the reason we bought the tickets) because of Vancouver's poor transit system.

Snoop dogg was #1, Slightly Stoopid fell #2

by KatieF on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

So I came to this concert, really excited to jump up and enjoy some old school music which is Snoop dogg. I had an amazing night! As for the opening act Slightly Stoopid, it seemed to be a little late. Maybe it was because a lot of fans showed up late for the show. The music that Slightly stoopid presented was awesome! It made you want to get up and just jam! I was somewhat impatiently waiting for Snoop Dogg to come out. What with the incredibly messed up ditsy blonde sitting in front of me. Not your fault of course but I need to vent. She didn't seem to even know she was at the show she was so gone. Waving her scratchy blonde hair all over my lap and laying her head in my boyfriends lap....yeah It was good that I had some great entertainment to distract me! Yes once Snoop Dogg was on, I was up, dancing and singing! The concert took me back and I had an amazing experience. It seemed a little short and I would have loved to see more!!! I hope that next time I can score some floor seats to be closer to Snoop dogg, the legend!!! Thanks for making that night amazing SNOOP!!!

    good night

by slightlystoopid on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

slightly stoopid rocked as opening act for snoop dogg. however the missing in action stephen marley was a bit time let down, where was he? anyways snoop dogg came out and had a really good set minus a couple slow parts that coulda been replaced with more of his fan favs. an big suprise came when akon made a guest appearance. all in all it was a good night but it coulda been better

    Awesome

by Laleee on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

Enjoyed the show! Was extreemly irritated by having to wait so long for Snoop Dogg to come out. The concert began at 7.30 pm and he came out at 10.00 pm. I was not expecting the concert to last so long and would have appreciated some notification regarding the time of his arrival. I was "ready for snoop" an hour and a half before he came out. The show after 10 made up for the long wait however.

    Blazed and Confused!!!

by passdoutfighter on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

The opening act of Slightly Stoopid was a sleeper but once Snoop came on stage it was great! He got everyone to stand on their feet!! Snoop is a good performer. Downside, his act feels so short...could be longer. Overall it was great!

    Snoop, always a blast

by WenttoSnoop on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

Not as good as the previous 2 times I've seen Snoop - not having a hip-hop opener made it feel more like a music festival-type event, which would've been better outdoors. Awesome cameo by The Lady of Rage!! Snoop holds it down as always, put your dubs up!

    slightly weak . . .

by mikw on 2009-07-23Pacific Coliseum - Vancouver

Slightly Stupid made it all worth it. They played tight, were high energy, mixed it up from punk to ska . . . they were kickin' it old school to the here and now. Snoops guests were equally cool . . . Rage and Snoops nephew (that's how he introduced him) were excellent. I was disappointed with Snoop. I wanted the full pimpin' fur hat and bling bling spectacle that I have come to love about Snoop. H was wearing his jam jams and was sloppy. Maybe it was the wrong sound for the room - but overall weak . . .
