SONU NIGAM IN CONCERT:
As one of India's most revered playback singers, Sonu Nigam is responsible for the pitch-perfect vocals lip synced by numerous Bollywood superstars over the years. His talents aren't just confined to behind-the-scenes roles, however -- an electrifying dancer and performer, Nigam has also had an eminent career as a solo artist, boasting more than two decades of beloved recordings. Hot off the heels of a successful 2013 collaboration with superproducer David Guetta, Nigam is set to dazzle on his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Indian-born Sonu Nigam began performing at parties and weddings with his father at age three. At age 19, the two moved to Mumbai to launch the young Nigam's Bollywood career, which began with roles as a playback singer and a commercial voice actor. In 1995, Nigam became the host of Sa Re Ga Ma, a popular televised singing competition akin to American Idol. His breakout as a solo artist came just a few years later with the 1999 release of Deewana, a collection of romantic songs that remains one of India's top-selling albums. Over his decade-spanning career, Nigam has released more than 25 albums while continuing to tour to adoring fans around the world.

We kept waiting for good songs but he was bent upon singing not so famous songs. His mimicry of "aloo gobhi.." Was also not funny. His singing was also not of high standard. in short we spent $240+ $30 on food and left at 10 p.m . I don't know what happened after that but from 7:30 p.m to 10p.m it was sheer boredom. There was a 5 minutes entertaining time when we were able to go near the stage and danced. Rest of the time I was forcing myself to get entertained. I will never go for any concert in future.

The show was good rating from 1-5 stars I would give it a 3, the language spoken was just hindi and they do not cater for an English audience. A lot of West Indians and Guyanese usually attend these shows, but cannot understand Hindi, and only enjoy the songs and dances. For this one there was hardly a song and dance which made it "missing in action".

by FanSonu on 2014-05-14Hershey Centre - MississaugaSonu Nigam and Ms.Gandhi were both amazing. The seating in Hershey theatre was terrible. I WOULD RECOMMEND THE SONU NIGAM SHOW BUT NOT THE HERSHEY THEATRE AS THE SEATINGS SOLD ARE VERY DECEPTIVE.

The show was great however for the future, i think the singalongs with the audience take away from the ambiance of getting lost in the beautiful music and songs. It would be nice if he did a few duets, it seems like though that he can sing both male and female parts - he is very talented. The orchestra was the best that i had seen for a bollywood concert - the opening number was fantastic. It would also be good if he sang the whole song as opposed to just bits and pieces. He is so talented and has such a great repertoire of songs that we would love to hear all the songs fully. Love his energy - he never seems to get tired and he ran across the stage about at least 100 times.
