Over the top, raunchy, funny hard rock. maybe not for kids (parents, I know you want to bring your 10yr old to see a great show, but I'd go for something a little tamer). Everytime they'll be coming to Mtl I'll be bringing someone new to introduce them to Steel Panther !
You want a good music show from the 80' rock with some humor? Steel Panther it is the answer
Steel Panther never disappoints. Tearing through their sex charged songs as they tip their hat to their favourite genre…80’s heavy metal. In between songs there is plenty of banter between the band members. While they are great musicians, you can’t take the lyric too seriously. Oh, and also…don’t forget to bring your sense of humour!
If I’d known I’d have that much fun I would’ve bought tickets for both nights. Would see them again any day!
While it’s always a good time with Steel Panther, this wasn’t my favorite show. They went on just after 9pm on a Friday night and show was over at 10:30 exactly. what?!? They played maybe a handful of songs and spent more than normal amount of time just talking and goofing around. I get that’s their schtick but it was more than usual. Could be my last show
It was a great experience! My first time at the Commador
This is the third time I've purchased SP Tix just to see The Wild! opening. As soon as SP starts talking, I gotta go. Seriously, shut up and sing. They are talented, but its wasted on offending the very people they are emulating.
A rollicking good time was had by all. Love the Commodore Ballroom and Steel Panther truly made it feel like an intimate gathering. Crowd inclusion and humour really turned this from a show to an event!
Been to more than a few SP shows. This one was pretty disappointing. They hit the stage at 9pm and the whole night was over by 10:30pm - way too early for the Commodore. The show itself is getting stale (same jokes/theatre for the last half dozen times I’ve seen them). This is going to be my last SP show until they change things up a bit.
Apparently I was underdressed.. first time seeing them and now I'm hooked... already have my outfit picked for the second time.. love their interaction with the crowd .. good job guys!!
Great show, good musicians and lots of comedy to keep you amused between songs.
It was a sold out event at The Corona Theater; several fans showed up in classic "panther gear" including wigs, bandanas, spandex & blow-up guitars. The band's explicit lyrics & theatrics were embraced by Montreal fans, so much so, that they were part of the show. During the song "Asian Hooker", an Asian girl was invited on stage & got the experience of a lifetime. During "17 Girls in a Row", several women were invited on stage to sing & dance with the band. It was their new bassist Spyder's 1st time performing in Montreal (Lexxi Fox quit) & he was welcomed Heavy-Montreal style. It was a Rock n' Roll party Steel Panther style all the way !!!
Show was great. The venue History is a great place for a show. The gender neutral washrooms are not a good idea for a bar atmosphere. My wife struggled to find a clean stall to use as we all know guys are not so "clean" when drunk and attempting to go to the bathroom LOL.
These guys know how to put on a show!!! So talented and fun to watch, I can’t wait to see them again!!
first off didn't go!! I went of a BSC site for theier tour and it said they are coming. Then when I bought the ticket it showed it as a SP show... I was pissed to find out BSC was only the opening act. BSC has more talent, great songs and an all around great band. SP just plain sucks.
That was a very cool rocking show for the price. $75 for basically a double feature (1 hour of black Stone Cherry and 1.5 hours of Steel Panther). The drummer was amazing from Black Stone Cherry. Steel Panther was hilarious, but bang on with their schtik! the show i heard was sold out. I hope that is a good sign that these bands will be back and playing a larger venue. we had GREAT seats in the place!!!
Steel Panther is the greatest hair metal therapist band you‘ll ever see! They are fun and talented musicians. Love them and every show you feel renewed.
Great venue with the exception of gender neutral washroom! Not fair for the woman when a bunch of drunks piss all over the seats!
