  • What a great band

by Sprinkles212 on 2018-07-10Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

We loved the show, what a great band, everyone was amazing on their instrument and the singing was also excellent. We knew nothing about this band and loved every minute of the show (as well as the opening band - Birds of Chicago). We would definitely recommend them to anyone who likes an entertaining musical experience in the country/bluegrass spectrum and who appreciates skillful artists.

  • The Steep Canyon Rangers are the best!

by Depp on 2018-07-04Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third time seeing The Rangers and they never disappoint! We had second row seats which made the experience even more exciting. To hear them in person is unbelievable...all of the guys harmonize so beautifully. And, they are the nicest band around. They take time out of every performance to talk to the fans, sign autographs, take pictures and have a laugh or two. As long as they keep coming to Edmonton, I will keep going to see their concerts!

  • Drag-on

by Grassy on 2018-06-26Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 2 out of 5

The band spent too much time tripping out with solos by the fiddle and mandolin players. While accomplished musicians, more time could have been spent playing more of their songs. The long breaks reminded me of concerts back in the 70's, without the drugs.

  • Steep Canyon Rangers - Stellar!!

by bovina on 2018-06-26Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I feel sorry for all the people who didn't fill the seats at the Jubilee. This is a world class group of musicians - although its difficult to pick out a particular "star", the violinist Nick Sanders is off the charts. I would call them "new" grass as much as blue grass.

  • An Excellent Evening

by Obiwan058 on 2018-06-26Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

While the opening act left a little to be desired, the Steep Canyon Rangers themselves proved to be a superb group and I would not hesitate to attend any future concert of theirs. The venue is an excellent one for shows such as this, as the acoustics are really quite good - MUCH better than an arena! The band proved to be quite versatile and all of them really play quite well. Once again, a very well-rounded show and I have no hesitation in recommending the Steep Canyon Rangers to any country and bluegrass aficionado.

Really enjoyed the Steep Canyon Rangers and Birds of Chicago. A great night listening to extremely talented musicians.
