fantastic low key intimate show,,, love the relaxed natural atmosphere,, definitely would see him again in this venue,,,
Steven Page and Craig Northey are a must see! Absolutely amazing performance. It was really great to meet them after the show! Hope very much that they come back in the very near future.
Been to many, many BNL concerts both with and without Steven Page. Truly missed him! Performance was spectacular!! Love the banter and jokes between songs. Nice to hear some of the classic BNL stuff (accoustic) and the new stuff. Would definitely see him again!!!!
We drove from Edmonton to Spruce Grove and thoroughly enjoyed the Steven Page concert. The Horizon Stage venue provided an intimate atmosphere so that we felt as though we were spending an evening with Steven (and Craig Northey) in our living room. In addition to a great set of pipes, Steven is an exceptional songwriter that really connects with the audience. Between songs he offered a surprisingly candid take on his life and circumstances that was punctuated with much comedic appeal. We have been fans of Steven Page for some time, starting with the Barenaked Ladies and continuing with his solo career. The evening ended with a pleasant surprise when Steven and Craig interacted with the audience after the concert to take pictures and sign CD's. So pleased to have purchased his CD, Page One. Enjoyed it on the drive back to Edmonton. This is one talented Canadian !!
The Horizon Stage atmosphere made the concert feel private and intimate. Craig Northey and Steven Page were a perfect duo for the night. The banter, the brief jams, the stories, the great renditions of the songs. You can't get that on a CD. Was always a fan of Steven Page since the beginning of BNL but when it's just him and a guitar....now a bigger fan. That was how those songs were meant to be played. It was tough restraining myself from belting out my favourites like past BNL concerts...but Steven thankfully included some audience participation moments. The only thing that would have made the concert perfection would have been if he played Call and Answer (personal favourite of all time) but it was still an amazing experience that I highly recommend to past BNL fans and new listeners.
Awsome time, we met Steven after the show. The seats and the music where exelent. I had never heard of the winter Garden theatre but it was great.
It was great to see him - extremely talented, good sense of humour, great very talented backup musicians. A great experience - the fourth time I have seen him on stage and by far the best!
Wonderful concert. This man is so talented!! I've just bought his Page One album.
Amazing concert, intimate venue. Stephen Page was amazing!
What an amazing night!!! Small intimate concert. It was the concert of a lifetime!
Incredible show, as always! I have loved Steven Page for years, from his days with the Barenaked Ladies and now as a solo artist. He is so amazing live and I definitely recommend you go see him play any time you have the chance! ♥
Great show, Steven was gracious and very personable. A new start to something great. Go for it Steven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a huge Steven Page fan, and always have been. It was an amazing set, and the crowd was in it. The energy was really positive, and I felt great! Then in an acoustic version of "It's all been done", Steve lost it on this guy that had stepped up to the front to record it on his iPhone. He repeatedly called the guy a "dick" and swore at him... It killed the vibe. My girlfriend saw the look on my face and said "I'm so sorry". While I had planned to go shake his hand at the end of the night, I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
