The Vinyl Cafe is a must see for everyone!

by Bareass on 2014-12-15Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This show is so well put together with such a blend of humour and musical talent. It's a little different every time. The audience engagement is great. Stewart speaks directly to people in remarkable ways.

Stuart McLean kicks off the season again

by Pipermica on 2014-12-15Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Stuart's show is our Christmas 'date night' every year. A night for the two of us to spend an evening in a relaxed environment laughing along with everyone as Stuart regales us with the humour of Dave and Morley's lives. It is a chance for us to get into the proper Christmas spirit as we head into what is always a hectic time. The musical act - Chic Gamine - were great - the perfect counterpoint to Stuart's storytelling. Another wonderful evening!

    Stuart was outstanding

by Lizbet7 on 2014-12-15Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

Having listened to Vinyl Cafe since moving from Australia almost 3 years ago, I have found listening to Stuart most entertaining with the fabulous Dave & Morley stories & being able to visualize his virtual travelogue & his research of the local knowledge of the towns & identities that he performs in, makes me feel connected to my new home. I had a smile on my face the whole time during the concert, loved the audience participation with the kids he bought up on stage & the joy of audience was feeling will make this an annual event for me.

    Stuart Mclean was excellent!

by Sterretjie on 2014-12-13Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

It was our 3rd time seeing Stuart Mclean - what an amazing story teller! We have 2 teenage girls that also love his shows. So glad to know that so many people still love listening to stories being told seeing will live in a world where television and other electronics are taking over. Again an amazing show!

It was good as all of Stuart McLean's Christmas shows are. I wasn't a big fan of the musical guests; it feels like the Vinyl Cafe is in a bit of a rut music-wise. Needs some shaking up if you ask me. Overall, though, Stuart was still wonderful and I'll of course be going every year, It's part of my Christmas traditions now.

by LaughingAllTheWay on 2014-12-12Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

Stuart does another amazing job helping people kick off the holiday season. With his musical guests and the interactions with the audience, one would think he has done this a time or two. :)

As always Stuart McClean put on an incredible show. Wish he would bring back Matt Anderson as his singer as he was the best I've seen so far

We will be back next year

by vinylcfan on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

This was our first year of attending this Christmas presentation and we will put this on our Christmas tradition list for next year and many years after. This was a production that you could take children to and not worry about profanity or poor taste. Several times I laughed so hard the tears rolled down my face. We were in the second row of a balcony. I am short enough that I would not have been able to see the stage because of the railing in the first row. I wish the seats were staggered so a person was not sitting directly behind the person in front of you. We used the coat check and were glad we did because the seats are small and a winter coat would take up room.

Once again, Stuart Maclean and Vinyl Cafe dazzle

by hohoho on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

A funny, fabulous show once again! Every year a musical group is introduced and every year we find new music to love! Fabulous entertainment...look forward to next year! My young adult children asked on the way out if we could be sure to mark the date for next year! This was their third show and every year they enjoy it more!!

What a way to kick off Christmas!

by Modes on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

A friend invited me to go along and see the show. She has listened to the Vinyl Cafe for years, I had never heard of it. What a fabulous treat. The Jubilee was packed and the show was delightful. The musical interludes were fun and festive and Stuart is a master story teller. I feel a new Christmas tradition has been born for me. I will definitely be back next year.

by Cocopop on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I took my friend as he & I are the only ones in our family who truly appreciate the stories of Stuart Maclean especially about Dave & Morley. He & I thoroughly enjoyed the show & laughed & laughed again. We want to go again next year.

Stuart McLean - like an old friend

by Hannahan on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Really really enjoyed this. It was like being in his living room. The atmosphere was warm and you found yourself lost in the stories. His musical guest artists added a nice flavour to the evening.

    excellent entertainment

by fansofvinylcafe on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Lots of stories and good music is what the show is all about. We weren't disappointed, even though the show wasn't being recorded for the radio program.

    A new family tradition?

by Anonymous on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Stuart McLean Vinyl Cafe Christmas is fun for the whole family. Even a jaded 15 year old boy who thinks any good entertainment is available only online, was LOLing (laughing out loud) and asked if we can go again next year! The music was great too. Chic Gamine were good but especially enjoyed the sing along at the end.
