About

Tegan and Sara first established themselves as indie rock royalty in the mid-2000s. The Canadian duo released the critically-acclaimed albums So Jealous (2004) and The Con (2007), before evolving to more of a pop sound on 2013’s Heartthrob, which was produced by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck, Foo Fighters) and features the synth-pop hit “Closer.” Since their 1999 debut album Under Feet Like Ours, Tegan and Sara have sold over a million albums worldwide, and have played to sold-out arenas with artists like The Killers and Katy Perry. The twin sisters are also longtime activists, and are dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ women and girls through the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which they established in 2016. Their 2019 memoir High School was a New York Times best-seller, and was adapted into a television series of the same name. They released their 10th studio album Crybaby in 2022.

    Go Steady With Me

by womanundone on 2010-01-07Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

However cliche, Tegan and Sara don't disappoint! Listening to: Tegan and Sara, the night after the concert. Favourite: the sister's super cute banter and how each one sings along to the others solo (away from the mic) Love: the accoustic oncore Bought: awesome "Go Steady With Me" pins, postcards + Cat T Can't wait: to see Tegan and Sara play their Boston Concert this year as well Reconsider: a green light that was blinding the right side of the audience

Tegan and Sara - Great! Opening acts - no

by Anonymous on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Tegan and Sara were great. We liked the acoustic songs during the encore the best. Great light show too. My wife and I didn't like the two opening acts. Why do opening acts have the worst sound mix? I know that the headliner wants the best sound but it would be better for the fans if the sound was improved for the opening bands.

BEAT OUT THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS

by Vkid on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Best concert I've been to. They are so funny together. I love all their stories. I also loved the fact they played songs from their old albums along with their new stuff.

Tegan and Sara sound great live!

    by mapleridge818 on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Tegan and Sara were fantastic. The sound was great. They played their entire new album (Saint Hood) and most of their last album (The Con) as well as a few songs from older albums. The classic Tegan and Sara banter was in full force, telling jokes at each others expense for the crowds amusment. Very enjoyable, entertaining show.

    Never a Disappointment!

by TheLastKoala on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Yet again Tegan and Sara give an amazing performance! I've been to a few of their shows now, and will go when they have another show in Vancouver. I wasn't a huge fan of the Venue. I don't think it match their style of music, however the show was still spectacular. Great performance! If you didn't get a chance to see them this time, GO GO GO the next time they're in town!!!

    amazing. unforgettable.

by sogand on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

With their alternative sound and their concert being only and all about their music, i was left blown away from all their music they performed, go back as far as their album "So Jealous" and coming back to more recent ones like "The Con" and "Sainthood". Also their amazing, mindblowing, acoustic version of Tiesto's "Feel It in My Bones" left me speechless. It was an unexpected performance, but it was one of my favourite songs. Their Encore, including Call It Off and Back In your Head, acousitcally left me blown. I would recommed this concert to anybody as Tegan and Sara are a force to be reckoned with. With their witty and funny remarks in between their music and their amazing opening acts, you'll have an amazing time. They are trully my musical inspirations and seeing them live was a dream come true. Those two sisters are musical geniuses, period.

Great concert! The base and drums were a little loud. It made it hard to hear the singing properly. Favourite part was the encore!!!! They are amazing singers!

    Charming

    by jsb6 on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Tegan & Sara are a solid live act, but what makes their act memorable is their witty stage banter and genuine connection with their audience. The concert made for a fun night I was glad to be a part of.

Great concert, crowd was a downer

by barnzy on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Tegan and Sara were on fire last night. Their vocals were very sharp, and hilarious during the interludes. It was the first night of the tour and there were a couple of gotchas with lighting, etc... but all very well played by tegan and sara and actually improved the concert. The crowd sucked though... as you sometimes get at these theatre shows.

Tegan and Sara were really great. Amazing vocals, amazing band. The encore, where they played without the band, just the two of them, was the highlight. Their strong vocals came through better and you got a better sense of them as a band.

Tegan & Sara = Legen... wait for it... DARY!

    by hound127 on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

The show was beginning to end truly awesome. Astronautalis, the first act, threw down big time, he flew solo but had stage presence enough to hold his own; his hard hitting intensity was just what the subdued crowd needed to start the night. An Horse, the second act, featured an adorable boy girl combo, Kate is a cutie, with sweet dance moves she drops as she rocks out on the guitar, and Damon had some seerriiiooouss skills on the drums, really fun to watch! So much so I bought their CD! As for Tegan & Sara they brought down house! They were awesome! Not only did they sound great, they sound better live and they were funny, friendly and it really felt like an intimate affair; just me Tegan, Sara and 2794 other people. An the Orpheum is always wonderful with its beautiful ceiling and chandelier. Summary: -loved it!!!!

    Tegan and Sara are amazing!

by Ooliga on 2010-01-06Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

The interaction with the audience was great (I had never been to a concert like this!) They are really funny and just talked between them like having a normal conversation, and they were both hilarious, sharing anecdotes and experiences. You feel like you get to know them, which is awesome. They are great playing live! The song selection was really good. And the lights were really good. I LOVE THEMM!!!!!
