BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Influenced by her musical family, Tessanne Chin got her start pursuing music at a young age, attending a performing arts school in Jamaica at age six. After earning a spot on Jimmy Cliff's three-year tour, she began writing songs for her debut album In Between Words and performed at several reggae festivals in her hometown. Chin earned her big break on the 2013 season of The Voice, quickly becoming a household name and going on to win the competition with her earth-shattering voice. Since then, she's sung at the White House for President Obama and performed alongside legends like Patti Labelle and Gladys Knight, earning her salt as one of soul's biggest new sensations. On the road in 2014, she'll headline The Voice Summer Tour in support of her highly anticipated self-titled debut.
