About

Who explores a coral reef, plays in an octopus’s garden, and joins the jellyfish ballet – all before snack time?  The Backyardigans! Pablo, Tyrone, Tasha, Uniqua and Austin are back on stage, singing and dancing and ready to plunge sea deep into adventure. Dive into the action as these five friends explore clues, discover underwater magic, and match wits with an all-too-tidy octopus and a pair of playful (but messy!) dolphins. With a splashy range of song-and-dance styles to wade along to – including psychedelic soul, Bollywood, bossa nova, and more – our heroes save the day.

    Price was too high

by Coryo on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

I saw this show with my daughter last night. We were in Row F in the orchestra and had great seats. performance in Surrey, so we wouldn't be in traffic in Vancover. The line moved very quickly through the ticket taker, and there were near no lineups for the concession. Bathrooms were clean. My daughter seemed to like it. She knew 2 of the songs. I guess the other ones were new. She liked the show well enough, but I expected more. I thought the price was high for the performance, with 2 tickets over $70. The important thing is that she enjoyed it.

    Perfect fun for young children!

by MommaT on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

Aside from some minor timeline issues (ticket stated show started at 7pm, but we were told that the doors open at 7pm and the show started whenever the cast was ready). The big concern is that this is a show for young children, and children don't have the ability to be patient for long. What is the point of having a time on the ticket if things just happen whenever? On the same note as the timeline, I think that people need to be on time, especially since we had late additions, walking/standing in front of us, attempting to find their seats. I didn't pay to see your butt in my face! The show itself, aside from a technical glitch on the screen, and a broken prop that happened during the show, was phenomenal. The kids were on the edge of their seats and loved the entire show.

    Backyardigans was great

by Lillypad on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

Very well done - it held the childrens interest. My grandson was mesmorized. I look forward to more such events. The only distractions were people taking photos and videos and after seeing this page I understand why. I don't think it is necessary.

Backyardigans show was lots of fun!

by Petal22 on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

My 3 year old daughter had a blast at the Backyardigans show. She'd been looking forward to it for ages and it didn't dissapoint. The choreography, songs and story were lots of fun. If your kids are fans of the Backyardigans, then this show is definitely worth it.

    Backyardigans was great!

by Wthdsi on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

The show was well done, thought that the screens they used for background were really neat. Sound was good and the length of the show was good. There was 1 intermission in the show in the middle which was appropriate but I think they should cut down the time for the intermission as it's hard to keep the little kids sitting in their seats during this time!

    The Backyardigans enthralled all!

by Tinkerbelle73 on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

We took our 2 year old to see The Backyardigans on Saturday at the Bell Centre. First thing we noticed was how helpful the Bell Centre staff were. When the curtains came up, our son's eyes grew....and grew and grew! He was enthralled to see his beloved characters right in front of him. He cheered, clapped and laugh throughout the performance. Both my husband and I enjoyed ourselves also. It was very well done. We look forward to taking him to see them again!

    Fabulous kid's show

by WeLoveTyrone on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

This was my 3 year old daughter's first concert. She just loved it, was dancing to music she recognized from the show. Would definitely go again if we could and would recommend this to a friend.

    Backyardigans was Mesmerizing

by Kodella on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

I took my Grandson 2 years ago, this time I had 2 Grand children to take they both were in awe. The show has the ability to mesmerize both children and adults alike. The kids love the characters, music, color and antics of the show, it keeps them captivated from the time the show begins until it ends. I love all of that plus the fact that it is a good family show teaching everyone how much fun it is to go out in the yard and use your imagination!

by LittleFish on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

Fun for the kids and made them dance in their seats. Fun to see a television show come to life. Great venue, I would go back to see something else there.

    Backyardigans is a MUST SEE!

by Souflay on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

A friend and I took our three year olds to see the Backyardigans and they were in awe! The look on their faces said it all. The characters were as they were on TV and they sang songs from their shows that the kids already knew (including myself)/ The kids danced non stop through out the show and it was by far the best show I've seen yet!!!! Can't wait till they come back again!

    Great for the kids

by SuperMummie on 2009-09-13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

I took my 4 year old daughter and 3 year old neice, and they loved it. They were dancing in their seats. It was in the same format as the show, and my daughter is into mermaids right now, so it was right up her alley.
