    I only really went to see Malajube, and they were great even though they only played a 45min set!!

    The venue was perfectly small and dingy, and perhaps a little overwhelmed by the atmospheric avalanche that is the Besnard Lakes. Really solid band, played together so well. Oogie owned the stage and her vocals were so much stronger than I thought they would be. They really rocked out on all their songs, and they were able to pull off very complex layered sounds with ease. Great mix of young and old who were all really into the band.

    The band: excellent The sound: well-mixed but incredibly loud. You know there's a problem when about a third of the people present have to dig out ear plugs. The crowd: 1/2 were there enjoying the music, but an unfortunate other 1/2 of the crowd was too busy talking amongst eachother to even listen to the band. It made it hard to listen to the music, which is the whole reason we were there. Thumbs down to the crowd. I paid to listen to the besnard lakes, not to you and your buddies shouting at eachother.
