My kids loved it. Some of the moms in my row found the last act a little too provocative for a family show. That part was mild and went right over my kids' heads as they're a bit younger. The Next Step dancers were a huge highlight and really got my younger son engaged in the concert. The big beach balls into the audience was another fun touch for my new concert goers.

    The vamps were awesome

by Rans on 2015-08-18Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

Overall the show was amazing .the acts were fabulous but I did not.agree with what Becky G choose to wear for the show because it was for a family show and her outfit was a little to risky for the targeted audience which was young children

The Next Step Dancers are incredible!

by Moeyram on 2015-08-18Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

The Vamps were OK.. after a few song they got better. The Next Step Dancers were amazing!! Well worth the trip just to see them - they were the highlight of the show! Becky G. was horrible. Minimal interaction with the crowd, talked to her D.J. more than us. And they setup a D.J. stage with lights directly behind Becky G so that you couldn't even see her - just the lights. It was more like being at a bar and spent my time wishing I had Wi-Fi so I could at least do something on my phone. The host Jordan Clark.. great dancer - but needs to learn how to not creech into microphone !!

Big Ticket Summer Concert was a FLOP!!!

by bocaj on 2015-08-18Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

My daughter is 9 years old, all excited to see the concert so I took her :) Not only was the sound horrific, the lighting wasn't much better! When the singers jumped on the corner speakers to converse with the fans, they were in total darkness, you couldn't even see them. During setups, they kept playing the same songs over and over again and then finally when Becky G got on stage, the men were the only ones around us in the stands that were in Awe! I sat there disgusted by her songs being sung to as little as 5 year olds. Adults sure, but NOT KIDS!!! I was mortified by the words she was singing and I did all I could not to haul my daughter out as quick as I could! Put on by the Family Channel are you kidding me??? How sad are you guys for picking singers that dress in nothing, sing about sex and think it's ok for kids!!! Seriously.....Seriously!!!!

I've taken my daughter to the Big Ticket Summer Concert for the past 3 years. This year I didn't know any of the singers but it still was great. Every single singer could actually sing and they seemed so happy to be there.

This show is getting better every year

by bigticketmama on 2014-08-28Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

We have been to Big Ticket Summer concert since it's inception. Year by year the show is getting better, more organized, better MC's, excellent musicians. The Next Step Dancers stole the show, they were phenominal! It would be nice if there were a balance of artists who sing AND dance mixed with just singing. (Tyler Medieros, Victoria Duffield and Zendaya were great examples of this in past years - extremely entertaining) The kids were bored with Meaghan Nicole and Sabarina Carpenter just singing - no dance (althought they were excellent) - not enough entertainment for little kids. Calem Worthy did a great job MCing...much more professional and entertaining than the past years. Overall the show was pretty good - looking forward to it getting even better.

BTS was everything I could ask for.

Took three grandkids. Venue was easy to get to, easy to get in and wonderful to be at. Stage presentation, sound and lights were excellent. Kids had the time of their lives. Well worth the money and time spent. Will do it again.

    Always great event despite concessions

by Markiemark1 on 2014-08-26Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Not sure why when they built this venue in 1994 that it did not build more concessions. THe wait is ridiculous. You should not have to wait over 30 min and up to 45 min just to get a slice of pizza at a concert. There just simply is not enough supply for the demand at this venue.

Great Entertainment for the Children (Adults too)!

by Anonymous on 2014-08-26Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

Every act was entertaining and suitable for all ages. We were a "family" of 6 - mother, grandmother and four children ranging in age from 8 to 12. We all enjoyed the performances very much and were engaged the entire evening! Our one complaint is that handmade signs were held up all evening, blocking our view of the stage and the performers. This should be limited to between songs/sets so as not to interfere with others' enjoyment and view of the show.

Great Performances! Great value for the money!!

by KGBAgent on 2012-08-28The Big Ticket Summer Concert put together by family.ca - Toronto

Even though we only really listened to Ross Lynch (R5) and Bridgit Mendler beforehand, we were impressed with all the performers. Allstar Weekend is definitely on our "listen to" list now. All the performers did a really fantastic job! The only improvement comment I can offer for family.ca is to have more t-shirts for next show, and perhaps with pictures on the front instead of just the names of the performers.
