About

The Black Crowes are leaving the bullshit in the past. 15 years after their last album of original music, the Robinson Brothers present Happiness Bastards - their 10th studio album. Some may say the project has been several tumultuous years in the making, but we argue it's arriving at just the right time. Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll. In a time where the art form is buried beneath the corporate sheen of its successors, The Black Crowes are biting back with the angst of words left unsaid penned on paper and electrified by guitar strings, revealing stripped, bare-boned rock & roll. No gloss, no glitter, just rhythm and blues at it's very best - gritty, loud, and in your face.

Since The Black Crowes reunited in 2019, they've made a triumphant return to form with over 150 shows spanning 20 countries worldwide, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shake Your Money Maker, the album that put them on the map. Upon their return from the road, they knew they needed something new to show for their lost time. The Robinson Brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien headed to the studio with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 and the experiences of years past transcribed themself through the music as the band found their way back to their roots. And it's finally here - Happiness Bastards is out March 15, 2024.

    Crows Crushed It

by Eljacador on 2022-07-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Very slick. Delivered a well rehearsed rockin performance. All the hits and others. No disappointments. Liked the Love Boat bar tender. I was impressed with the mention of their previous Toronto drummer. Good time had by all. The awesome weather helped.

    Great night

by Shannon on 2022-07-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Got these tickets on sale. Was upgraded when we got there! Which was amazing. The performance by both groups was amazing! Getting in and out was pretty smooth. I was impressed with staff being on top of washroom cleaning. Once inside, everything cost so much! That was the only downside

    Lingering effects

    by B & P on 2022-07-10Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Nothing wrong with the ticketmaster end. Easy to purchase and easy to enter the venue. Getting to the venue on transit was not as easy as it could be, but that's on the TTC. P met me there to find parking at $35. That's a bit much. I had not been to The Budwieser Stage since it was The Forum, back in the 80's. It is a great venue with no bad seats, lots of leg room and space to walk around. Concessions? Great, if you're there to get drunk. Hardly any food selection, poor quality and way over-priced. The Trews and the Crowes played really well, but the live sound engineer mixed poorly. Vocals way too loud and my hearing was impared for several hours after the show. I would go to this venue again, but have dinner elsewhere or bring my own.

Amazing band and a great crowd!

    by J. D. on 2022-07-10

Outstanding performance by the whole band. Rich and the rest of the band sounded absolutely incredible, and the back-up singers were phenomenal. Chris gave a performance ill likely never forget. Boy can he sing! He just has a fantastic energy and awing in his voice. Extremely pleased by this show!

    Energetic Concert

by Terri on 2022-07-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Better than expected. Chris in fine form. His brother seemed bored or maybe he us just low key. Would have been nice to do Joni Michell’s P Paradise as part of encore in Canada. I like the Black Crowes version better than the original.

    Good performance bad sound!

by Jake on 2022-07-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Band seemed to be playing half decent together but maybe a bit rusty. The sound however was just not up to par. Not sure if it was bad sound mixing or just subpar equipment, I was a little disappointed. Also, I'm not sure the brothers are completely on the same page.

Great Concert, but too many inconsiderate seat hoppers

by Judester on 2022-07-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

Great concert, but seat hoppers ruined half the evening. Got to my seat ( section 303 ) and someone was sitting in it. Told him that he was sitting in my seat and I actually had to prove to him that it was my seat. He got mad because he was eating and moved one seat over. A few minutes later, the person who had that seat showed up and he got mad and moved again. All night, about twelve different people kept coming and sitting/ standing on the seats directly in front of us. Normally I wouldn't care what people do, but I paid good money and it was very disruptive as they were yelling out to their friends and ruined some of the concert for us because we couldn't hear ( or see ) the band. Security seemed to be non-existent. These were supposed to be prime seats, but apparently anybody can just walk in and sit in seats they didn't even pay for. No more concerts at the Budweiser Stage for me.

    Black Crowes at Budweiser Stage

by Justin on 2022-07-09Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The entire experience was a great one ! From the ticket purchase onward, there were numerous updates defining what to expect, where to go, times, etc. The updates were fantastic in keeping us well informed. The meet and greet was very well organized. Thoughtfully planned out from start to finish. The swag booth was easy to find and the staff were friendly and helpful. I love the Crowes and have seen them a lot all over the world. I thought the gig at Budweiser Stage was excellent. Great sight lines, good sound levels and mixing with a nice light show. My only suggestion would be to provide temporary canopies for long queues to offer some protection against the hot sun. All around excellent night out. Congratulations on a plan well executed. I know there is a lot of planning that goes into these events and much of it behind the scenes. I didn’t not go unnoticed !
