The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

The chicks were a DREAM to see live. They put on such an awesome show that is enjoyable and makes you think a lot! I had the best time!
Loved, loved, loooved the show. Scotia bank staff all so friendly and upbeat. They were professional, diligent and kept the lines moving. Thank you!
Fantastic show! My fav group to see live! They did not disappoint!
The purchase of tickets was easy. Ticket master sent instructions on saving e tickets to wallet. Also sent info about getting to the venue. Our seats were amazing. They were comfortable and close to bathrooms and bar. Maren Morris was excellent. The Chicks were fantastic, however was disappointed that they did not sing more of their old stuff. I am not a fan of their new album. Other than Gaslighter, their music on the new album is not what I love about the Chicks. I still had a great time.
We bought floor tickets which were expensive, expecting to be able to see the band. We could not see. Too many drunks shrieking and singing, could not hear the band The smell of pungent food being shovelled down by drunks who then drop empty containers on the floor was disgusting. Why is food allowed into the arena? We have not attended a concert for a long time, this was our last one in this venue. The venue is not satisfied with the money they make from tickets they have to sell too much alcohol to people who cannot handle it.
The show was incredible! Amazing vocals and phenomenal musicians. That’s what music is all about! Would definitely see them again.
From the start to finish it was amazing , thankful we got to see them in concert
Better than ever! Can’t wait until they return to Toronto!
From start to finish this was the best start to out three week Canadian vacation. Venue was welcoming, staff helpful, seats comfortable with a great view. Maren Morris was an excellent choice of opener and The Chicks were simply fabulous. Just the right mix of old and new with some social politics thrown in. I would expect nothing less. Thank you for the experience.
The Chicks!! They are so talented. Great musicians. I loved the mix of old and new songs. I loved the energy.
Great concert. A lot of meaning with great vocals from the band. Music was excellent. Went because my wife wanted to go and my daughter was away in school. Was pleasantly surprised for both the opening act and main act. Fully enjoyed the concert and would go again.
Amazing concert. These women are very talented and passionate. I would love for them to be called The Dixie Chicks again.
we had a fantastic time! this was one of my fav shows of all time (my first time seeing the chicks)- pretty cool that they got Maren Morris as the opener too- what a talent. Only recommendation for the venue is to get lids for the new metal beer cups (that are also really cold to hold and spill easily!). But we know who to blame for those ;)
I was expecting to be blown away by The Chicks, but I wasn't. I had an excellent seat (4th row centre on the floor.) so I had great visibility. "Unfortunately"I could see Emily, Marty and Natalie quite well at all times. Emily and Marty seemed to be enjoying themselves (smiling, etc) but Natalie seemed to be going through the motions. Surprisingly she was dressed rather frumpy (a hoody over a t-shirt?) and it seemed to underscore her performance. Also disappointed that there was no encore (is that the norm nowadays?) Maybe I was too close, but the sound was not clear. I couldn't understand what they were singing because their words were muffled. It wasn't that much of an annoyance when The Chicks were playing, because I know the lyrics to most of their songs, but I'm not that familiar with Maren Morris. I'm sure that I would have really enjoyed her set if I could have heard WHAT she was singing about!
The Chicks know how to put on a great show, and I like that they don't shy away from controversy. They are my heroes!
Loved the concert. The Chicks were terrific and so was Maren Morris. The only thing I didn't like was the wait between Maren finishing and The Chicks starting - it was almost 45 minutes.
Amazing concert with an amazing opening act :). We had the best time!
The Chicks performance was over the top. One of the best shows I’ve attended. They are very high energy and the entire band were outstanding performers. An especially nice thing occurred when my son and I were upgraded from our seats in section 321 to section 118 at the edge of the stage. We were both ecstatic . The crowd were really rocking and interactive. Couldn’t ask for a better experience
Great show . Well worth the price . Hadn’t seen Sasktel cents that full for a while.
This was a fantastic & very fun time, The Chick never disappoint. The set list was great as it mixed classics with their new stuff. Nice to see a great mixed crowd
