The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

This show is fantastic!!! It was so moving and filled with soo much talent!
The show was excellent but the sound quality in the CTC center is awful. The Chicks are so talented and they rocked the house. The merchandise was just ok. I wish it was better quality and nicer options for tshirts and the cut of the t-shirt to accommodate for pretty women!
Amazing show they are all goats !!! Just great people.
Harmony, energy, and power - The Chicks are so talented and did not disappoint. What a crowd.
Not what I taught it would be very disappointing worse concert ever
Good overall but too much time between acts. Almost lost interest
This might be the best concert I’ve ever been to! Amazing
The chicks were awesome, they put on a great show, from the time they came on stage til the time the show ended they had the crowd dancing n singing
Seats sell said no obstructions which was wrong… steal bar right across your eye level when you sat down….. terrible viewing for the price of the tickets… last time I go to Ottawa for a concert….
The concert was absolutely AMAZING. If they come back to Ottawa I will definitely be getting tickets again
The band was great. Location great. But they played a large number of slower somgs, which lost the interest of the non hard core fans. So there was a lot of talking during them. High tempo and well known songs all amazing.
Everything seemed scripted. Then it got political. Left early. Got a good night’s sleep.
I went to the show with my grand daughter we had so much fun it was just amazing thank you Chicks you are the best
It's a shame I didn't pay more attention to their new stuff, absolutely terrible way to much American politics and I could have fallen asleep through a couple of their other songs. Absolutely disappointed over 300$ down the drain . Would not recommend seeing them if you want a good time
I bought the tickets for my SIL and BFF and I came along for the ride. Another friend joined us and we had a blast. We danced, sang, had wsy too much fun. Opening act, Marin, deserves her own show!! The Chicks know how to reach out, sing out, share out and send love out!!! A night to remember.
Thé concert brought back great memories. The only negative point I would like to say and it has nothing to do with The Chicks. The sound was horrible. Not sure if it the acoustic at the Canadian Tire Center is bad or the people at the sound board did not do a good sound check. The instruments were so loud that you could barely hear the lyrics of the song. Especially the new ones. Other than that it was a great evening.
Bands started on time, played all of their hit songs, were personable with the crowd. Venue was maxed out with fans! Fun atmosphere
The concert itself was absolutely fantastic 😃 Marin killed the opening and the Chick's just completely blew my mind. The seats were really tight to fit into which is unavoidable I guess for the price range but one of the seats had a broken spring poking up and out which led to a lot of butt pain and no venue attendants in sight to bring the issue up with. I do wish band's would offer strobe light free nights for fans with epilepsy, my fiance would have loved to attend but couldn't do to the lighting effects.
Maren Morris was fantastic! That's about the only thing about the concert that was good! I went expecting to hear the Chicks hits and we heard maybe 5. The rest of the concert was protest songs and ballads. I will not be attending any more Chicks concerts.
The Chicks put on a good show, could be a little longer as they have so many hits. The Chicks played less than 2 hours The sound at the CT Centre was not very good as you could not hear Natalie's voice very well at all. The band was good but the sound quality was not that great.
