The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

Loved it! The visuals, the music! Everything. Well done!
Overall experience was great! Although, not being able to leave during intermission to smoke - makes ppl smoke in the bathroom. GROSS! The Chicks didn’t play all the oldies though and that was slightly disappointing. The beers are outrageously expensive. The cost of tickets, then to have a drink or small bite should be enjoyable but two beers were $26.00. You can buy a 12 pack of beer for that price.
Checking in was easy and the prices of souvenirs was good.
The Chicks were great but the way the change of date was handled was not great. Last minute and the criteria for getting refunds was not clear. I have friends who could not attend and were not able to get a refund.
Such a great show………but wish there was a way to modify behaviour of audience. Disappointing to pay well over $100 per ticket and then be subjected to a wall of folks’ backs as fans in front of me leap to their collective feet for The Chicks most popular songs. Only solution is for me to stand as well, but I bought a SEAT, not a place to stand.
Concert was great. Lots of high energy from the Band as well as the audience. Really happy we went to the Concert!!
What an amazing night Despite their loss, the Chicks brought energy, love and a great performance.
Sound was ok. Not greatest..but ridiculous price of alcohol now just stupid..how u justify 12.50 for regular beer..had seat in budwieser lounge wich is all ripped apart so had to uae usual concessions. This review for 50 cent concert
Nice shows, great music, good band, good songs, I’m glad I went!!
Concert was amazing, great stage show and high energy.
We actually left the concert on the third song in! The sound system was awful! Way too loud! Wrong mix of base and treble. Nothing but screeching screaming voices to try and get past the loud music. The fans most of which were screaming women were standing up so we could not even see the stage! Worst concert experience ever. So disappointing as we were looking forward to it. I don’t know who did the sound but was not good. I’ve been to another concert at Rogers Place and it was good.
Very disappointed. This will be the last concert I attend. I've been to many concerts in this venue, but the sound was so distorted that I have to blame the sound engineers.
Best concert ever!!!!!!!! I had a really really good time!!! Please invite them back to perform in Wpg again!!
These girls NEVER disappoint. I have seen them every time they have come to Winnipeg and will continue to see them every time they come!
Was a great concert. Had fun. Would recommend. Although scheduled changes, got better seats as a result. Lol
Don't get me wrong, I love Maren Morris, but the sound mixing was WAY off for her part of the show. You couldn't even hear her vocal over the band. The Chicks were phenomenal. Vocals were on point, and I love that fiddle! I also enjoyed that they had video in the background. It was a great couple of hours, getting lost in the music.
We waited 2 hours for the Dixie Chicks to perform and then the person seated directly in front stood up for the whole time and danced with her drink in the air, so I wasn't able to see the Chicks perform. My last live show unless we're in Vegas, where viewers are respectful!
the chicks know how to put on a show! They don’t skip a beat, they’re incredibly talented and they haven’t aged a day since they first came on the circuit. It was my youngest daughters first concert and my other two kids came with us! We had the best Monday school night EVER!
Amazing, unforgettable concert. The chicks are truly legendary. <3
Saw these ladies 10 years ago and they still sounds as great as ever today. Such a great show
