The Dan Band has carved a unique niche for itself at the intersection of music and comedy, combining equal parts humor and chops to achieve their pitch-perfect pop culture send-ups. Known for their histrionic, tongue-in-cheek covers of traditionally female-fronted power anthems, comedian Dan Finnerty and his hilarious backup duo have become a comedy circuit favorite and late-night talk show staple. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The brainchild of actor and comedian Dan Finnerty, the Dan Band got their start in LA's comedy club scene, where they were hailed as the "hottest ticket in town" by Entertainment Weekly. After making several high-profile cameos in comedy blockbusters like The Wedding Planner (2001) and Old School (2003), the band released their 2005 debut album The Dan Band Live. The album was a hit, featuring parodies of pop culture subjects including Shakira ("Whenever Wherever/Hips Don't Lie") and bubblegum pop ("Genie In a Bottle/No Scrubs/Slave 4 U") and setting the tone for their future live shows. As the band hits the road for another gut-busting tour in 2014, no topic is off-limits, and fans wouldn't have it any other way.

I went with 20 of my friends we all expected a great show and we re all very disappointed. Save yourself the $30 and watch dan band in the movies old school and the hangover, as these are their only decent performances and they are way better on the movie. This concert was a waste of my time
This was my second time seeing The Dan Ban rock the Commodore Ballroom and it was just as amazing as it was the first time! Mixing classic pop hits with unique choreographed dance routines is something that I have never seen duplicated, and the fact that Dan hung around to sign autographs (and body parts) was a sign that he is truly awesome.
my review title sums it up - The Dan Band is hilarious in the various movies they've been in, however live they were boring, unoriginal and the songs/dances seemed to be all the same. I kinda felt sorry for them up on stage, it was a very sad show, however all the 17-20 year old crowd seemed be enjoying themselves - so maybe being 30 I just didn't get it! Who knows!! I look forward to seeing them again in a movie soon, however, I would never again pay money to see them live.
Such a good show. Not just singing, but lots of slick moves to keep the crowd going!
