BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Figgs was formed in 1987 by a group of high school students in Saratoga Springs, NY. Starting with 1994's Low-Fi at Society High LP, the band has consistently garnered critical praise with their albums, earning respect from fans and their peers in the process. In 1996 The Figgs began a working relationship with new wave rocker Graham Parker, who invited them to act as his backing band whenever he went on tour. The group also backed Tommy Stinson of The Replacements for his first solo album in 2004 and ensuing tour. In 2013 The Figgs celebrated their 25th anniversary with a career retrospective entitled 1000 People Grinning, which summarizes their extensive career in 25 essential songs. Two years later the group released Other Planes of Here (2015) to glowing reviews before hitting the road for a highly anticipated tour.
