What an amazing night full of draw dropping acts! I didn’t know Steve Valentine did magic, I only knew him as an actor. He was hilarious & an a amazing magician. That was a great surprise & I’ll see him again!

    The Illusionists January 4

by LB on 2020-01-07Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

The show itself was very well done! The MC's slight-of-hand talent was terrific and he was extremely humorous and engaging. All of the acts were impressive. On a sour note, our seats were bumped from the balcony to ORCHMMM left, which wasn't great. I had booked 8 seats with one on the aisle for a pregnant family member and the reassigned seats were in the middle of the row. Our view wasn't as good as it would have been from the centre balcony. The explanation for the seat move was that the balcony was closed - and, yet, there were people sitting up there ... double ticket sales? I hate to be a cynic but there were three rows of people moved to the "back of the house" from the balcony.

    UNBELIEVABLE!

by DebChag on 2020-01-07Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

This was a Christmas gift for my husband, Grandfather, two sons and grandson. They came home all excited and told us how much they enjoyed the show, especially the quick changer and the host. It was definitely the right gift for me to have given. I always look for the one gift that is going to be memorable and this was it.

    Great family outing

by DT on 2020-01-07Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

The show was fabulous, very entertaining with something for everyone. Several great magic acts which were amazing to watch. A high degree of audience participation and involvement which made it even more fun. Our group of five (ages ranging from 76 to 18) thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Illusionists give me more!!

by P. L. on 2020-01-06Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

It was a god show...the card tricks were good but I wanted more of the big stunts with music and risk...the quick change bit the escaping from a box of gravol...give me more of that!!! At least 15 min more of the big stunts for the price and venue. I give it 3/5

    It should be The Magicians

by Margox on 2020-01-06Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

I was expecting for something more interesting. It was the average magician show.

Not as great as first time

by AngelaP on 2020-01-06Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

The MC was fabulous. His banter and card tricks amazing. But the rest of the show seemed to lack the dialogue to support the trick. The camera man in stage was distracting and in the way - and I was 3rd row

    Best Show Ever!

by Phyl from Toronto on 2020-01-06Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Saw The Illusionists on Jan 1 in Toronto at Meridian Hall and thought it was absolutely terrific -- so many "How-did-they-do-that?" moments that took your breath away! Was especially surprised and pleased to see the personable Steve Valentine as host -- I just knew him as a likeable and favourite actor, not as a gifted magician (and I had to smile to myself when I remembered he did play a magician in an episode of "Monk"!). Besides the illusions themselves, the show was filled with humour, so there were lots of laughs to add to the total enjoyment. Will definitely return whenever they come back to Toronto and bring as many people as I can with me to also enjoy the experience.

    Crowd Pleaser

by R.G. on 2020-01-06Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Truly some of the best magic I have ever seen. My kids were super happy, the price point was spot on and the show was just long enough. Something everyone should see!

    Could do better

by A. on 2020-01-06Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Less card tricks and more illusions would have been nice. I think it was a show more for kids then adults. Great entertainers, I think better content and more intense illusions.

    Very family friendly!

by C. S. on 2020-01-06Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Stunts/illusions are impressive, but can be a little cheesy for an adult audience. Perfect for a family outing.
