About

Formed in 2011, The Interrupters came together when the Bivona brothers--guitarist Kevin Bivona, bassist Justin Bivona, and drummer Jesse Bivona--found themselves on various bills with Aimee (Interrupter) as a solo artist. Upon bonding over musical tastes, the four formed The Interrupters and delivered their self-titled debut in 2014. The Interrupters have shared stages with bands such as Rancid, blink-182, Green Day, Bad Religion, and many other stalwarts of the punk scene solidifying the band's status as a dynamic force. The band released their fourth studio album In The Wild in August 2022.

    Interrupters were a blast!

by Steve-O on 2019-10-28Coors Event Centre (formerly known as O'Brians Event Centre) - Saskatoon

The main act was fantastic. Had me bouncing the whole show. Amy Interrupter looked genuinely happy to be there. The openers were decent as well. The second act didn't seem to get the crowd going as much... perhaps those expecting a punk/ska show weren't prepared for some Irish music.

    Energy overload

by Spike 1888 on 2019-10-28Coors Event Centre (formerly known as O'Brians Event Centre) - Saskatoon

Fantastic night. Sharp Shock opened up the proceedings with a fast paced enthusiastic performance. Davey was on top form and I'll be following their career as a new fan. Next up were Skinny Lister, a folk punk band on steroids. Great sound and engagement with the crowd got them revved up for the main act. On came the Interrupters and from the first song they hax the crowd jumping and singing along. Great enthusiasm and great songs, how Aimee keeps smiling all the way through is testament to her and the band for their enjoyment of playing live. They really do enjoy their music and the rapport with their fans and both young and old fans lap it up. The Interrupters are destined to be legends in the punk ska genre. I'll be seeing them again, that is a definite. Hanx.

    Amazing show!

by sliverbass on 2019-10-25Union Hall - Edmonton

The show was amazing! They are such a positive and energetic band! This was my first time seeing any of the bands live even though I love the Interrupters and this was my first time I’ve been to Union Hall. It’s a good small venue with good sound. Much better than where the show was supposed to be. They also had an area just for kids and the people they went with. That was a great idea because my 2 boys ages 8 and 11 were able to see everything!

    Excelllence

by BMO on 2019-10-19Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

The band played a solid show. Even more impressive was the sound. This was the best show I have seen at the Commodore(and better than any memory) for clarity, accuracy in sound and volume. Loud enough to have a good time but not so much it distorts the music. All around great show.

    Rebellion

by EdgeMaster on 2019-10-19Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

The Interrupters were as awesome as always - great energy, lots of love. They are an awesome example of ska punk. Sweaty on the dance floor, hard bopping with care for each other. Unfortunately, the sound was muddy. Terrible for the Commodore. As always, the Commodores bar sucks - overpriced bad quality. Inexcusable really.
