My wife and I went not quite sure what to expect and had a wonderful time. Lots of laugh and performers and audience who clearly were all there to enjoy themselves.
Show was everything I expected and more. I am a regular listener to CBC and the Irrelevant Show is one of my favourites. I was particularly intriqued by the fact that it was being taped for a future broadcast, and will be sure to tune in when it is aired in March.
I like how they take irritating everyday issues and elevate them in a collective understanding of ridiculous. Many good laughs !! The two musical pieces were humorous, creative and very enjoyable. Would like to see the musicians on stage with the other cast members. More music would add to the sketches.
What a great evening of sketch comedy with incredibly talented performers. I was belly laughing and literally wiping tears from my eyes. Watching how a radio show is made was fascinating and the improvised moments between sketches were an added bonus. Highly recommend!
Enjoyed a relaxing and entertaining evening at the taping of the Irrelevant Show at Sherwood Park. Loved Donovan and Peter's banter. Discovered that Don Bell looks nothing like I imagined. Appreciated the gentle digs at Sherwood Park, my home town. Afterall we put the finery in refinery!!
The Be Arthur's song, "Wingman" left us howling with painful recognition. On another note, who knew superheroes' had super-sized ego clashes? A great night out.
Great group of professionals poking fun at everyday life. Really fascinating to "watch" radio as it unfolds on the stage. Well written and well executed. Nice touch to have Ryan Parker and Sheldon Elter singing. I will attend again.
I invite all of my fellow Edmontonians to check out "The Irrelevant Show" next season (this season is over). A laugh-filled evening out!!!
The best show yet! The most fun you can have with your clothes on. Great entertainment value for your dollar.
This was way better than just listening the radio show. Sometimes the antics between sketches is as much fun as the sketch itself.
Watching a radio recording doesn't sound like it would be a great time, but it is. The humor is off the wall, left of left and right of right. Mark Meer has the most plastic face in Edmonton. He conveys complete thoughts with a single look, which isn't great for radio....however, he also pushes the humor into his voice...which is great for radio.
What a wonderful experience!!! Well worth the drive a very pleasant evening!!
Again, so much fun! What an incredibly talented group of people who together provide some side splitting comedy.
Even though you can hear these shows on the radio, it is still worth going to see it live. It was very interesting to see the process for producing a radio show, plus put some faces to the names/voices I've heard on the radio. The skits were mostly pretty funny and the improv between the skits was an added bonus (which won't be heard on the radio). Plus, we got to participate in the production a bit. All in all, a lot of fun.
They did it again! Those crazy CBC Edmonton writers, producer and actors had the audience howling with laughter. The sketches just get funnier and more clever the longer this show is in existence. We will go again and again and again. Best laugh per dollar ration bar none!
This was the 2nd taping of the Irrelevent show that I have been to and I really enjoyed the evening. It was very funny and it was great being part of the show
The Irrelevant Show is just a great night. These guys are always funny and have a great vibe to them. We have seen their show about 4 times and have enjoyed every one of them. I highly recommend the Irelevant Show. It is always a great time.
This group is absolutely brilliant. I laughed so much, I got a headache.
While appearing to be somewhat distracted by the camera crew, the cast still provided a raucous blend of scripted and improvised humour. Having watched the Irrelevant Show tapings a few times now, the actors are making a me into a fan of live comedy. I expect to be seeking them out in community performances, as well as enjoying them again on radio.
