MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET ON TOUR:

Hot on the heels of its Broadway run, rock and roll musical Million Dollar Quartet is on the road to tell the story of the fateful meeting between Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash at an impromptu jam session in December of 1956. The musical focuses on these newcomers before they became icons, gathered for a rare collaboration at Sun Studios in Memphis. The cast brilliantly portrays the original performers while playing each timeless track with perfection and ease. Million Dollar Quartet will have fans all shook up this summer with their red-hot 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Million Dollar Quartet tells the story of four Southern rock legends who unexpectedly came together in 1956 for a very spontaneous recording session at Sun Studios. Since its 2007 premiere, the electrifying production has graced theaters across the US, landing on Broadway in 2010 for an acclaimed year-long run. Nominated for three Tony Awards including Best Musical, Million Dollar Quartet transports audiences back in time to the golden age of rock and roll with an iconic collection of hits that will leave fans feeling like a million bucks.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

I laughed and sang along the whole time, and I ended up on my feet with the rest of the audience, clapping and dancing. If you want a fun and lighthearted night out, go see Million Dollar Quartet!”

We stayed at The Stone Gate Inn, Orillia -really nice hotel (would have been nice to visit the historic downtown of Orillia but arrived late re: TRAFFIC!! Took shuttle over to the casino for our fantastic show. It was a fantastic event, lots of good music. Only better way to have ended was to win BIG at the casino, but they took my $35, came out a winner only by way of the entertainment. Would do this again, maybe my next birthday...

Too much narrative, not enough music

    by D. C. on 2019-10-15Casino Rama Resort - Rama

We were really looking forward to this show. We really enjoyed the music but didnt realize it was autobiographical. The hilite for us was the fellow who played Jerry Lee Lewis. He was amazing!!! The man who portrayed Carl Perkins was a super guitar player. We really enjoyed the music at the end of the show!!! That was the hilite for me and the other people I was with.

It was pretty good, the Elvis character was weak and disappointing, some of the acting very stilted. the other characters were very good. The woman singer was really off key in one song, painful! Pretty pricey at Rama if you don't get the free comp tickets

Great musicians, good story. "Elvis Presley" was good too, however his voice was not as powerful as Elvis's, so it sounded a bit bleak. "Jerry Lee Lewis" was fenomenal!

    Good Show

by rjn on 2019-10-14The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

Million Dollar Quartet was a good show. There seemed to be some problems with the sound guy being late turning on the actors' mikes on time. Also, some of the cast didn't really fit their role - especially the one playing Johnny Cash. I saw this show when it was previously in Windsor and enjoyed that rendition better than this one.

This musical was great with a combination of music from four of country/rock's best and the saga of Sun records in Memphis. I thoroughly enjoyed this musical!
