The Musical Box Tickets

Nice and loud!! A little echo-ey but thats venue-specific i guess. Two gripes though... The tickets should tell us when the show starts exactly. Everyone thought that it was a 7p start so we are there at 6 ish for an 8 pm start. Not good. Second - when you sell beer at these concerts, people are up and down using the bathroom constantly. I get that this a revenue "stream" but this would keep me from watching a concert at this venue again. It's not a stadium with steep seating, it's flat more or less so people walking in front while we are trying to watch the show is annoying as hell. Ron

I have seen The Musical Box 11 times since 1998 ... they have always been amazing and i appreciate the efforts they go to such that the experience is an authentic replication of the concerts in their day. Loved it.

What a thrill to be completely engulfed by the best music of our time, surrounded by people who love and appreciate it as well. It was a fantastic recreation of an epic album. You could close your eyes and hear/feel the music as it was originally created. Such a warm embrace. Loved them the last time and the time before that and this time and next time if we should be so lucky. Second only to the original.

Lead vocals were often drowned out and the sound mix was often muddy. I'd seen this band three times previously and had never encountered the issue. We were very close to the front with speakers facing the audience beneath the apron of the stage and this may have exacerbated the issue. Back to the mezzanine for us next time.

Totally awesome recreation of the prime Genesis years! Frankly, id rather see this every year than the aging band that dont have this kind of energy anymore, lol. They are so into it, like its a pleasure for them!

This was 3rd experience in 2 decades. They have mastered The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway tour, including musical perfection, costumes, theatrics and stage set-up. A must for any Peter Gabriel-era Genesis fan, as well as others who appreciate prog rock, 70s rock or great musical performances.

Never being able to see Genesis with Gabriel and Hackett…it’s awesome to get that experience in such an intimate venue

An excellent night. The audience were right into Genesis. Good to see younger people, not just white hair and domes at the performance. Genesis will live on with The Musical Box. The Musical Box doesn't disappoint, I've seen them many times over the years. The Sound was clear and loud but not distorted. Visuals perfectly timed, good even from my seat in the balcony. I will definitely see them again when they come to Oakville in the fall, already have my ticket. Tres Bien! FORMIDABLE!!!

Fantastic as always. Their professionals who always deliver a marvellous show. I have seen them 7+ times and they are always magnificent!

Another stellar performance by The Musical Box. This Lamb performance that I have seen in the past was very similar however, drumming & drumming vocal was a bit louder and predominant. Which I thought was cool. Encores; The Musical Box, Watcher of The Skies

The Musical Box are amazing at bringing original Genesis Music to life. The music is note perfect musicianship and the presentation is from the original shows from the original band. If you are a fan of the original band The Musical Box is for you.

I’ve seen them approx a dozen times or more. All four productions ( the black show ran for only a short time I believe). I saw them in 1974 in Ottawa w/Gabriel and it’s one of my faves. This show is all the experience and more as they have it down to a T. From using the exact words between songs to the sets and makeup. Unbelievable. Don’t mistake them for a tribute band, they’re much more than this.

The band was pretty good as always. This is my 3rd time seeing the and they are the best Genesis tribute out there. But the venue sound was pretty harsh...way too much trebles in the mix and sometimes way too loud. Looking forward to watch them again for the lambs tour next year

For fans of early Genesis (the period up to about 1978), seeing The Musical Box is an absolute must. The level of diligence, passion and respect with which this band re-creates the music is absolutely astonishing. I have been to see them multiple times since first hearing about them in 2013, and every time is a sheer delight. No wonder that former members of Genesis have loaned them props, projection slides, sat in with them (as Steve Hackett did) to show them how to play certain stuff, and have even (as in the case of Peter Gabriel - and his kids) gone to see the band. If you are a fan of the early Genesis material, I cannot recommend highly enough going to see The Musical Box.

If you are a fan of Genesis - the prog era, not the pop pap of later years - this band is a must-see! The Musical Box is note-perfect. Fantastic musicians and the Danforth is great a hall. Lots of character and great acoustics!

Great seats. Great performance. The sound was super. And as ever, The Danforth Music Hall is a gem.

True to the original to every note. I always catch this show when they are in town, and also check if they are playing to other places I am traveling to.

Started on time. Great vibe. Can't wait until next show
