The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. Great show start to finish. I was impressed by the sound quality in the Convention Centre.
Sublime with Rome was somewhat of a disappointment as the setlist was not what we had expected. Offspring was fantastic! The whole crowd got right into it and the mosh pit was lots of fun! The only major draw back to the evening was the beer lines ups ... line up for wrist band= 45 mins ... line up for drink tickets = 10 mins, line up for a beer = 20 mins and then, you were gated in a drinking area which was located at the very back of the floor, caged in like cattle. I will never go to General Admission concert event at the RBC again. Also, the sound was not the greatest. However, all that said, the Offspring's encore of "Self Esteem" made up for the disappointing RBC venue. The place was electric during that song! Fantastic!!!
Very Entertaining show, lots of energy from the crowd.
The line up to get in on the east side was very slow. Once inside the line up to get a wristband which allowed you to purchase alcohol was extremely slow. It took me 45 minutes to get a wrist band. then the line up to get drink tickets was slow (35 minutes) and then the line up to get a drink was slow (20 minutes). I will not attend another event at this location. No place to sit which is not good. On the plus side the bands were great. Mad Caddies are a great pub style band with a few horns and lots of sound. Sublime was ok, not my favorite type of music so maybe not fair to have me judge them. The Offspring were excellent, solid band that are really in tune with each other. I highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance. High energy rock.
The opener mad caddies were very good, sublime did a great set they sounded awesome. The offspring made the night dexter and the boys took me back to my childhood with their selection of songs and they still sound unreal.
My favourite concert I have been to yet, the mosh pit was awesome, lots of crowd surfing , wish you where about to drink on the whole floor of the convention centre, definitely won't thinks twice about going to another concert at the RBC
Haven't had that much fun in a long time! If you can go!
Bad sound quality in section 103 - not sure about other areas. Vocals sounded fuzzy and the bass was too high. Heard Mad Caddies for the first time. I love their style. Great music. Sublime - was ok. Too much profanity Offspring - pretty good set list
Great little venue ! Loved the sound and staff !! could use more help at the merch lineup but all in all parking food and drinks were good ! Clean bathrooms too ❤️
Offspring were amazing.. Huge mosh pit on the floor. They played so many great songs.. They blew the roof off.. Catch them on this tour
Sublime was good, but Offspring was unbelievable. The amount of energy The Offspring had was contagious. They played mostly songs from the1994-1998 era. All my favorites! Sure brought me back. I loved every minute of it!
Loved the set lists! Great job guys! A great trip down memory lane
It's been a while since the Offspring performed in Edmonton. It was a sold out show and they still like to put on a show. Not sure why they don't play at Rexall place instead of the Shaw Conference Centre, at least you would have a choice of standing or seating down and it would been a underage show, to many drunks at this show. The Offspring played about 20 songs from their massive cataloge of songs. They Started With You're Gonna Go Far, Kid and ending the show with Self Esteem.
Gob and The Offspring were awesome. As always the Shaw venue was horrible, signage that says "Cash sales Beer and Wine" were actually cash sales to buy tickets to stand in another lineup to get beer and wine. Was able to get my first drink by 8:45. Men's bathroom lineups were 30-40 deep.
Gob and Offspring both put on great sets, however the crowd was so passive, it was like th ey've never been to a punk show before. No circle pit.
I see lots of shows but these guys really are pretty fly! If you've got a bit of self esteem, you deserve the Offspring.
Was absolutely an amazing show! Was my first time seeing the Offspring live and I would definitely go again!!!
It was pretty good but not loud enough. I would go again if I could. Next time please have a better opening act
Unfortunately, the sound was very loud and the words from the music were not clear enough to be understood.
Event was awesome, All favourites were played.I would reccommend
