About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

    by Pookie88 on 2009-07-20MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert. Ticket prices were extremely reasonable, and they put on an awesome show. Included a good combination of new and old. I would like to see the whole thing again!

This was a very entertaining show -- The music was awesome and they really appreciated the crowd for all the support. The two opening bands were pretty good too -- overall awesome experience.

  • The Offspring hit parade

    by jojado83 on 2009-07-18Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a fan of The Offspring for almost a decade, and I was pleased with this concert. Their new material sounded good, too. Shiny Toy Guns were a good opening act, and the big crowd ate it all up.

  • Offspring was off the wall!

by Stuart on 2009-07-18Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

great show, well set up. The sound quality at the corral is much better than the sound quality in the round up center due to its size. All the concerts should be at the corral!! Offspring put on a great performance and lived up to the high expectations I had for them. The only thing to complain about was that they stopped selling beer too early.

  • Pretty bland show

by dablowfish on 2009-07-18UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

I'm going to start by saying I'm a fan of The Offspring, and was kind of let down by their live show. Crowd interaction by the band was extremely minimal and the show overall was kind of boring / flat. Throw in no alcohol sales and this one was a sleeper. Wouldn't go see them live again as a headline act.

  • awsome

    by 12345678 on 2009-07-18Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

the offspring put on a awsome show, the lighting was good and the sound in the northlands was pretty decent, they had an amazing set list made and me not sit down for the whole concert this will be one show i will not forget and not to mention it was my birthday weekend to make it that much more special.

The Offspring were amazing. I had low expectations going as I had heard nothing good about their live show but it was spectacular. I would go again in an instant.

  • Offspring, still my favorite!

by kwheaton on 2009-07-17Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

  • Offspring was Off the Charts

by JuliaC on 2009-07-17MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the show - I didn't catch the first opening act, but the second one was great and I had not heard their music before so it was awesome to get a new band to listen to. Offspring came on and the entire concert was just amazing! The only thing that disappointed me was having Gone Away played ONLY accoustically - they should have played it on the piano first and then later on in the show played it again but with the full band and rock sound. But that is just my opinion and that is my fave song. I would definitely see them again!

  • offspring was great sound and amazing live

overall a great high energy show cant wait to see them again

  • THE OFFSPRING - VANCOUVER, B.C.

by TOMBASIL on 2009-07-17UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

I've been a fan of these guys for 15 years and have never seen them live. My 15 year old son and I agreed that if they came we would go see them together. Next thing you know tickets were on sale. The pre-show atmosphere in the arena was very cool - lots of energy. It reminded me of going to see Heart or The Doobie Brothers at the Pacific Coliseum in 1976. The band came on at full-speed and they never took their foot off the pedal. They played all the hits and a bunch from the new cd also. They were very loose and truly seemed to appreciate the enthusiastic response from the Vancouver crowd. It was definitely an awesome show that both my son and I both loved. Of course, he wasn't standing too close to me while we were watching, but that was alright. The only negative was the sweaty boys/young men who kept brushing by me on their way back and forth to and from the mosh pit. It was kind of disgusting the amount of their bodily fluids that found their way on to my arms and clothes. Other than that, it was a great night.

  • Offspring was Amazing!!

by LisaV on 2009-07-17Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

They definately did not disappoint, Offspring was amazing!!!! Everything we had hoped for and more, they are amazing entertainers and musicians!! Loved every second of it!

  • Saturday night with Offspring

Great show, just too short, Offspring only play for 1 1/4 hours.

  • The Offspring blew the roof off Northlands!

by Ambereeno on 2009-07-17Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

This is by far the best concert ive seen in a stadium. Dexter Holland was fantastic. They played all the songs we loved and introduced an acoustic version of one of their songs. no one was sitting once The Offspring hit the stage. One of the best nights of my life and i plan on hitting them up again next time they are in Edmonton AB, Canada.
