About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • The Offspring Sprung

by vislander on 2009-07-16UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show, top performance from the band! The floor was alive with moshers and adoring fans. The band connected with the audience through rhythm and beat, and it was certainly a show to see again and again!!

  • Awesome!!!

Awesome!!! I thought it was a great performance, and can hardly wait until the next time they come, I would love to see them again.

  • Ahhh... It's time to relax...

by Humicane on 2009-07-16Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Another good outing by The Offspring. Nothing new about the show if you've seen'em before. Except they're slightly showing just how old they are. Moving, perhaps, a bit more slower on the stage, but that doesn't mean the music has slowed AT ALL. Great set list too, not cramming all the new stuff down our throats, mixing in a bunch of classic Offspring.

  • Brought me back to 1997

by krazyfreddy on 2009-07-16MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

The opening act sucked real bad and was of a genre not even close to the Offspring. Then after a brief intermission for beers came the Offspring. Awesome. This concert was 12 years in the making. They played almost all of Americana which was one of the first CD's I ever purchased. They put on a really great set. Very high energy.

  • Offspring in Edmonton

by cody on 2009-07-16Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Great concert! I'm kinda surprised that the venue was that small, but it worked out to be the perfect size. Not a bad seat in the house. The Streetdogs started off the concert and had the crowd goin within the first couple of songs; a first for me to see the opening band get that kind of response. Shiny toy guns followed with an ok performance. There music wasn't my favorite and im not sure of the crowd response. (the only reason why it's 4 stars and not 5) The Offspring got an ear splitting welcome as the lites went out. They played a great mix of old tunes and there new stuff, and stuck to the punk side of there music which was exactly what i wanted to hear! I was questioning there motives when the piano rolled out, but was blown away by Dexter's piano performance of "Gone Away". Absolutely amazing. I would see them again in a heartbeat, i hope they come back!!!

  • The Amazing Offspring

by ramjet on 2009-07-16MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring have been a personnal favorite of mine for some time now. I took my son to the concert as he also enjoys the music. This was his first concert and he really wasn't sure what to expect. Let me tell you that he had a blast. The crowd was energized and the music was fantastic. I had not seen the Offspring in concert before and I would not hesitate to see them again. Great concert

  • The Offspring were wicked good!!

    by SmallTown1 on 2009-07-16MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time at the concert, the band put on a great show and I highly recommend seeing them. For those who didn't go missed out on one hell of a great time.

  • The Offspring ROCKS!!

by Shabas on 2009-07-16UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing!! I cannot believe I was there, in the concert of my favourite band! They were just a few inches from me... It was worth every penny - and I would've paid even more! It wasn't too short, wasn't too long (as i it could be long, anyways) and it was so much fun! I wish I can see them again in a future performance in Brazil!!

  • Offspring was awesome!!

by MelissaML on 2009-07-16MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

The Offspring puts on a good show! They played from a variety of albums and was able to please the whole audience. Highly recommended!

  • Disapointed

by verydisapointed on 2009-07-16Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

Over all we (2 girls, 2boys, 27 & 28 years of age) were very disapointed with the concert. They were top 10 of bands we wanted to see and the sound was terrible the performance was...............what performance, there was no effort. Very sad because we were very excited, it didnt even sound like his voice. Maybe next time they should spend a few $$$$ when you charge for seats and get some sound quality.

  • Offspring was off the hook!

by crazyc on 2009-07-16Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was perfect for this event. It was my first time at a show at the agricom, and if I have the chance to go to more, I will. The band was way more entertaining than I was expecting, and the intermission in the middle was hilarious! I will say however, that they need to get a new system for dispencing beverages, as I had to wait in line way too long to get a drink. Overall the show was fantastic, and it left me wanting more! - always a good sign in my books!

  • Offspring was awesome!!

by ChugChug on 2009-07-16Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I was on the floor for the show and thought that it was an awesome experience. The sound quality was excellent and very loud. It was a good location for a smaller concert. I definitely recommend more concerts to come there. The best part is that it was on a saturday, I am from 2 hours out of town and regularly come in for various events or concerts, so I was quite pleased that I was able to come on a weekend, and not have to make it home at 3am to go back to work. I went to Kenny Chesney also last week, and the show never ended until 11:30, so by the time I took the LRT north and gassed up and drove home it was 2:45. I suggest that more concerts should try to come on a weekend. As such the show could go to Calgary on the Friday, and Edmonton on the Saturday. More shows should be booked like this. I understand most are hard to schedule, but I do appreciate much more when it is possible. All in all, excellent show and venue, much more room outsite to walk around. Would like to see more small rock shows in this place.

  • Offspring

by FuriousBert on 2009-07-16MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Concert was good aside from missing a couple of their hit songs (Defy You, Gotta Get Away, Original Prankster) it was a pretty good show.

  • Offspring rocked my socks off!

by JessmI on 2009-07-16MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I thought that the whole concert was amazing...they played all the classic songs and I really enjoyed when he brought out the piano. They were comical which made the concert that much better! I really liked the little intermission part with the fat guys juggling and the hot dog dancing on the screen in the background! I would most definitely see them again when they came to town!
