Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. The Whole concert was Awesome. Great songs, great performance. It was just awesome.
I didn't expect to enjoy this concert as it is music that my son listens to and I just happened to have to take him to this concert (his first) because the Offspring was his favorite band. I have to admit I enjoyed it alot, the lead singer was very funny and entertaining and I think the band as whole put on an awesome performance.
for the first part the starting band was alright but then the songs all started to sound the same. The second band well wasnt even PUNK, and i cant say i liked the keyboard to much. It didnt really hype you up for the final act. When Offspring came on it was nice and fast but basically they rifled through most of the popular songs and 50 minutes later that was it. It seemed as though they were just trying to get this stop out of the way to go to a bigger gig somewhere else. No fan interaction what so ever,or props at that..
amazing..totally recommend...high energy..great sound..
One hell of a good show. The crowd were on their feet for the entire concert. A great mix of new and old songs from their disography. Would recommend to all to go see them if you have a chance.
I'd never been so excited about a concert until The Offspring. VERY high expectations. All expectations were met! The opening bands both sucked, but that's not what I was there for, so I don't mind the least bit. The audience floor audience was relatively lifeless during the opening acts (for the most part, although there were a few moments..) the people in the stands didn't stand, they all sat -- for both opening bands. Then came the moment - what everyone was waiting for - THE OFFSPRING. There wasn't a person left sitting in my view. The opening song, Stuff Is Messed Up, (where, ironically, they don't say those words once) was awe inspiring! Just as good as on the CD. When Dexter Holland got to the rap-sound section, I was blown away to hear him do it all as fast and accurately as on the CD! Absolutely fantastic! And it didn't stop there -- they continued blowing the audience away, song after song. It sure didn't seem like they've lost any talent. The "half-time" show, Intermission, was interesting, to say the least. Kinda through me off momentarily when they came out with a piano... but the audience ate it up! Gone Away is my favorite song, but on piano...not for me. Out came the lighter, nonetheless. The vocals were there, and in that song, that's what really matters. Every song rocked. The stoners were having a good time too, as you could tell from the clouds that sat above various parts of the crowd. The floor wasn't anywhere near as motionless as with the first two bands, not a dull moment. All the songs rocked. They even had one I haven't heard, so that was exciting The next few days, I found thoughts wondering toward the concert. That's a good sign it was good...a concert that will go down as great in my books. Far surpassed expectations and, to date, the best concert I've been to. Floor tickets would've definitely been worth the extra money for that concert. I hear rumor of the bassist talking about another album, and I look forward to any concerts resulting from such. To quote The Offspring, it was "one fine day."
They have a real good selection of hit songs and a modern hard rock pumping beat. Definitely very high energy, they had the whole place moving insync to the beat of their music. Most Excellant.
I've seen Offspring all 3 times in Edmonton and they're 3 for 3. Only complaint is concert was quite short. Plus, at what point do they graduate from the Agricom? That said, everyone in our group of 8, ranging in age from 8 to 51 (me), thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
The Offspring delivered a show that was truly rocked. Great ear drum blasting music, with an awesome crowd and some great opening acts made for one of the best nights this Summer. Hope they come back soon!
Amazing concert! The smaller venue made for a better experience, I could see everything from where I was sitting. The mosh pit was crazy! Lots of flying shoes. Shiny Toy Guns was an excellent opening act! Can't wait til they come back again!
This is the second time I've seen The Offspring play, the first being when they came to Edmonton back in 2001. That show was good but this show blew that one away! If you are a fan of good music and high energy, this is definetaly the show for you!
This was a concert that I had promised myself I would go see if they had ever decided to come here. After many years of waiting, the chance came up and I will never regret capitalizing on buying a ticket for me and my girlfriend. They played a great mix of lots of old music and some new music, interacted with the crowd quite a bit and acknowledge doing research on our fair city! They incorporated some comedy, like they are known for, and made the crowd in the entire arena really get into it. Their opening acts were full of energy and mixed up with a more techno feeling act, which really made it enjoyable for more then the hardcore Offspring fans. I would totally recommend anyone to see them live!
It was a really fun time and a total blast from the 90s! Just wish the people that sat near us wanted to have fun too.
Awesome concert! the opener were a little weak but Offspring ripped a hard set with very little down time between.
Even after all these years the Offspring can still put on a rockin' show!! And the Agricom was an awesome venue, I think they should have more live shows there, a little more personal than Rexall. I had an awesome time!!
Although I thought the concert ended a little early in the night, I thought they put on a good show. They put out a lot of energy, and they played a good variety from all of their CD's. The bar lines at the Agricom were horrible...we waited over 40 minutes in line, then the bar closed as soon as the show started.
You know how sometimes you go to a show and you go crazy when the band plays your favorite song? That's what this concert was like for me. From start to finish. I went crazy for every song because I knew all the words and all the chords and I loved every second of it. This was by far the best concert I've ever been to. Absolutely epic! I hope they come back soon!!!
This was a wicked show! Even the openers (Street Dogs and Shiny Toy Guns) were great! Go see these guys! The tickets were super cheap considering what we got.
If I could watch only Offspring in concert everyday of my life it would be a DREAM COME TRUE!!! This is BY FAR THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! I would do anything just to see them again! The show had a great line up. This was a concert I will NEVER forget! Thank you so much <3
Great songs, rowdy crowd and the band sure did know how to pump up the crowd! Def would go watch them again. Being on the floor was a lot of fun!
