About

The Offspring are a punk rock band from Garden Grove, California. Led by founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Dexter Holland since 1986, The Offspring have released 11 studio albums and sold over 40 million records globally. The band’s self-titled debut arrived in 1989, followed by 1992’s Ignition and 1994’s Smash. Behind breakout Mainstream Rock Airplay singles “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away,” Smash went on to sell over 11 million records, earn six RIAA platinum certifications and set the record for the highest-selling album released by an independent label. Ixnay on the Hombre in 1997 notched The Offspring’s first No. 1 single on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with “Gone Away,” while 1998’s Americana hit the band’s chart peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 on its way to netting five RIAA platinum certifications and three more Alternative Airplay Top 10 singles: “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” “Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?” The Offspring later topped the Alternative Airplay chart again with “Hit That” from 2003’s Splinter and “You're Gonna Go Far, Kid” from 2008’s Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. The Offspring logged two more Mainstream Rock Airplay chart-toppers with “Coming for You” and the title track from 2021’s Let the Bad Times Roll. In 2024, The Offspring released their 12th album Supercharged

  • Offspring was AMAZING

by roxormysoxor on 2009-07-15MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I had said to myself I would see them if there were tickets available the night before, as I hadn't listened to The Offspring much since their album Smash. Well, I went and I was very glad I did! Everyone had a great time, it was nice to see a moshpit with people crowd surfing, the energy on stage was great and it was just overall a very fun show!

  • Offspring was amazing!

by kawknhoj on 2009-07-15Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show other than the first act not knowing what city they were in. Also, you can tell they are getting on in age as their stage presence isn't quite what it used to be.

  • The Offspring Rocked !!!!!

by llee on 2009-07-15MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

If you are ever undecided to go and see The Offspring, do it. They were awesome. They played their old stuff as well as some new. I was able to snap a few pictures, which was nice. They didn't seem to mind. There wasn't one person sitting at any time during this concert. Everybody was rockin'.

  • Offspring was all that, and more!

by Finster on 2009-07-15MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing concert, they played with alot of energy and all their old hits, along with the new!

  • Show was to short

by Guest on 2009-07-15Stampede Corral - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

Offspring was awesome. Shortest show i've seen in a long time, could have played longer. Second opening band sucked big time, did not fit with the offspring or first opening band. I would definetly go again but only if they played longer and had better opening bands or lowered the ticket price.

  • Offspring

by JasonM on 2009-07-15Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 2 out of 5

First band thought they were in Calgary, they were, but the night before! Shiny Toy Guns, couldn't make out a word, the sound was obviously set up for The Offspring and no other band. Then The Offspring came on...sounded good, put on a good show, but for 70 mins I would expect a cheaper show. They said they had to go to the Union Hall for an after party...an after party that starts at 10:30?? After a short concert party is what they went too. I am, or WAS, a huge Offspring fan but I'd never pay too see them again after that. Every concert I've EVER gone too has been twice as long and more exciting. I would have expected atleast some pyro!

  • Rockin with The Offspring

by Flipp on 2009-07-15Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome show, as always. A bit too short though. About 70 minutes... next time I want MORE!! Seemed like they were in a rush to get to the aftershow party. Really missed some of the new material from the latest album. Hit all my older faves... The energy is ALWAYS there.... great night out. Wish they came more often. And the price was right!! Most other shows terribly over charge, this was good.

  • OFFSPRING UNREAL!!!

by Ashmunch on 2009-07-15MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I was on the floor for the Offspring Concert and it was unreal!! The sound and the energy the band had was so awesome, and it was just hit after hit of their great songs from all their albums!! I was blown away by the bands' energy and their interactions with the audience. It got the crowd going, and it flew by so fast i was so shocked. If Dexter could sing for three hours straight, the band could easily hold up an energetic crowd and keep the flowing!! The sound quality of the band was remarkable, and the drummers beats were definitely done justice at the MTS center! I would have loved to follow them on tour for the whole summer, it was awesome. WE HAVE TO GET THEM BACK AGAIN!

  • Third times a charm

by EdmontonSnoman on 2009-07-15Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

It was the best of the three concerts, as many of us termed it a best of show. Nothing amazing in terms of effects but it was an all round great set list and was beyond my expectations. My hat off to the Agricom for having multiple bartenders throughout. I hope everyone made money and the run concerts there just like that again. Not like they did for NOFX and the hr. line up to get to 4 bartenders to server the etire audience.

Most amazing energetic show I've seen in a long time

  • the offspring in the peg

by crossbackstar on 2009-07-15MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 3 out of 5

I've been a fan of the Offspring since the early ninety's. Having the opportunity to see them live was a highlight of my year. I had a trip planned for the same time as the concert so by the time I realized I could make it back for the concert the tickets I got were a little farther away than I would have liked. Actually I was surprised i got tickets at all. Then again given all the major acts that are coming to Winnipeg this year maybe it isn't so surprising. They used a smaller then normal stage set up (about half the MTS Centre). The wasn't such a bad thing as it made it a little more personal. i missed the first opening act but made it for Shiny Toy Guns. Shiny Toy Guns were good for the type of music they play, but it seem to be a strange match for The Offspring. The Offspring were great. The sound was good, they were on their game and put on a great show. I only have one complaint and that is their set was far too short. With all that being said I wouldn't miss a chance to see them again.

  • Concert was nostalgic fun!

by thecheesecakeman on 2009-07-15Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

I've always loved the Offspring so this review might be a bit skewed. It was a great show with all their classic titles being played. They even found the time to plug in some of their great new stuff. I can tell the concert ended on a high note because Self-Esteem was saved for last. It was glorious. Definitely always fun to watch them play.

  • The Offspring was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!

by Wellsie on 2009-07-15Northlands AgriCom - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great consert. If you get the chance you have to go. I didn't sit down thru the entire consert. They played just the right bamount of there classic music to there new music.

  • The Offspring were amazing!!

The whole show was really good, they play both old and new music, definitly worth seeing. I'm so happy they finally came here. :)

  • The Offspring was to die for good.

by Danno on 2009-07-15MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I had floor seats where i was able to mosh and rock out to the very front to see Dexter Holland and Noodles in their glory. The best concert I've been to yet. Easily buy tickets for their next show in a second regardless of price. Pretty much you can say my dreams were upheld with this concert that I have been waiting for for years. Thanks for rocking so hard guys.
