The band was amazing and the venue, sound, everything was perfect!
First time seeing rar live. One of the best shows of the year! Will not miss them again!!
They sounds just as good live. They’re super talented, had a great time!
Incredible show. One of Canadas best singers songwriters, performers, drummers. Brilliant!
The bands were amazing, and sounded great, the only thing was the light show was a little amateur at this one.
Such a solid performance by the RAA! As always they put on an incredible live show!
First time seeing RAA and it was outstanding! The band showed great energy, the songs were beautifully played and the overall performance was fantastic!
Amazing show, if you haven't seen them.. You should!
They started off with some of their best songs: Stamp, Muscle Relaxant, Terrified, Tornado 1987 and from there they just continued to make every other song after that sound incredible! Their percussionist is out of this world. Their energy is incredible. The venue was brilliant. And I can say it was the best concert I've been to all year.
Hands down one of the top ten shows I've ever seen.
Venue was a great place to go and see this band. Big enough to accommodate lots of people, but still felt like you were right there with them. Sound and people were great. The concert was amazing and it seemed like everyone had a great time!! Id definitely see them again and would love to see a show at the phoenix again as well.
Simply outstanding, so much energy and so much fun.
Rural Alberta was more amazing then I ever could have thought! Their performance was energetic and extremely fun to watch! Amazing vocals, drumming and keys! Favorite show of 2011!
I told a lot of people yesterday that I had just been to a concert in Toronto. Uniformly none of them had heard of the Rural Alberta Advantage. I don't know if they're going to blow up any bigger than they have already, but they probably should. They've rapidly become one of my favourite bands, and their show was great. They were clearly touched by the audience response, and expressed several times how surreal it was for them to be selling out the Phoenix after having struggled for years in small venues nearby.
The band was excellent (of course). They played a good set and even threw in a few covers to stretch it out. The crowd was really into it and medium sized venues like the Phoenix are always great. I also love when a band comes off as gracious (or at least not disinterested) and the RAA certainly did...they took a lot of time to thank people for coming, give context to understand different songs, and hang out afterwards meet fans/chat/to sign things/etc.
Just a fantastic live show. That drummer knows how to use those sticks, insane!
While I was there for the RAA, the opening bands The Provincial Archives and Hooded Fang were suprisingly talented as well. Provincial Archives even had nicer merch that the RAA, they need to step up their artistic game a bit!
AWesome show! They fed off the energy of the crowd.
The show was amazing! One of my all time favorite shows I have been to!
