First time seeing The Trews live, totally blown away, When guitarist Angus came up on balcony, speechless, could only scream...thanks for the memory
Had a great experience and definitely will go again...
Though it was a long night of standing with no email about what time doors opened or the timing of who was coming on at what time. But as always the Trews rocked the house and sounded great! Loved the intimate setting of the studio!
Best show I've seen in years. Loved, loved the audience interaction.
This event was completely unforgettable. Gord Sinclair opened the show and finished his set with The Hip’s “Courage”. For anyone who considers themselves a Tragically Hip fan, they DEFINITELY must check out Gord Sinclair’s solo album (Taxi Dancers). One of his sons joined him on the stage and he played bass. What can I say? Like father, like son. I’m guessing Gord taught him a few things and he taught him well. The Trews took the stage and they KILLED IT. When they covered The Tragically Hip’s “Cordelia”, Colin channeled Gord Downie (he sounded a lot like a younger version of Gord D). And John Angus during “Grace, Too”. OMG. If I didn’t know any better, I would have assumed that this was Paul Langlois singing backup vocals during “Grace, Too”. Because John Angus sounded almost exactly like Paul does on Day for Night when he sings in “Grace, Too”. I came to the Danforth from 2 hours away and I would do it all again. The Danforth was the perfect place for this event. And then they got together for the encore. 😍🤩. If you haven’t yet taken the opportunity to see a concert with Gord Sinclair and The Trews, and you enjoy both artists, do yourself a big favour. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
Awesome show! Skipped the opener and arrived just in time to hear the first notes of the first song. Trews always put on a fantastic show. They are hardworking rock’n’rollers who play hit after hit. Their songs are designed for maximum audience participation. We all know all the lyrics. DMH is a great venue. They know how to get people in the door efficiently, provide coat check (which is mandatory in Canada), and have good security who can deal with the weirdo who is slamming into everyone. Also, delighted that they let Raise The Roof set up shop in the lobby so that organization can raise much needed funds. If you’re looking for pre-show dinner, check out Factory Girl.
Fantastic evening at the Danforth Music Hall. Played all the hits, got the crowd singing all night. Back up band was Gord Sinclair (former Hip bass player) and he joined the Trews on stage for the encore and played 3 Tragically Hips songs. The place erupted.
The Trews were always one of my favourite Canadian rock bands. They have filled a place in my heart thay was left open since The Tragically Hip. They are they best Canadian rock band that you can see live. Period.
I love the Danforth music hall as a venue. With the exception of the over priced drinks ( but that is every licensed business these days). The Trewe put on an incredible show. You could feel the music. It was amazing
One of the best concerts I have been to. You could feel the passion the whole band has, they engaged the crowd a lot and they left their heart and soul on the stage. Absolutely incredible. I can't wait to see them again.
This band always sounds amazing and the commodore is an awesome nostalgic venue that works perfectly. I hope we don’t have to wait too long to see them again.
So much fun! Great rock band. Lots of songs to sing along with. Can't wait until the next time they're in town.
Band and venue were fantastic!!! Commadore is always such a great venue. Trews were great!!
The Trews are great to see live, and the Commodore is a great venue. Staff were friendly and efficient. Awesome night!
This was our second time seeing the Trews, 10 yrs apart and they didnt disappoint. One of Canada's best bands, live or album.
This concert was excellent! The band rocked it onstage & the crowd loved them. They played their hits and we sang along to every word. What a wonderful midweek treat. Thank you, The Trews!!!! 🤘🏻
Hey, I'm a paranoid freak! Omg such an amazing show, but the Trews always put on an amazing performance.
The entry part sucked lost my ticket off my phone but was able to get new tickets and got in the show. They played 2+hours half acoustic and half blowing up the place lol good band and thanks for the memories ❤️
I came in not really knowing The Trews beyond a single song. To my great surprise I recognized more than half of the songs and was singing along at the top of my lungs. Wickedly good rendition of "Who Do You Love' during the encore. Amazing energy, tight production, clean simple presentation. They had The Commodore Ballroom rocking harder than I have seen it in a long time (and I go to a lot of concerts). Do yourself a big favor and go see them.
