This is nothing more than a script from the 1939 movie, nearly word-for-word, with some scenes from the novel added in.
The quality of the acting was very good. Its unfortunate their talent is wasted in this plain theatrical production.
I was expecting something along the lines of the Musical, Wicked.
It was just disappointing overall. We also had our 3 year old and 7 year old sons along. The 3 year fell asleep. Our 7-yr-old usually comes away from concerts, musicals or theater productions talking about it lively for weeks. He hasn't mentioned that he even went to the show since Dec.11. Our children see a lot of life theater with us, and there was just nothing that stood out; nothing special. We paid $76/seat, and we've all seen much better local productions for $10/seat. Set your expectations low for a normal musical, and you will find yourself liking this better.
