About

Thrice is a genre-defying rock band from Orange County, California, known for their evolving sound, profound lyrics, and fiercely loyal fanbase. Formed in 1998 by high school friends Dustin Kensrue, Teppei Teranishi, Eddie Breckenridge, and Riley Breckenridge, the band first made waves in the early 2000s with their blend of post-hardcore urgency and melodic sensibility on albums like The Illusion of Safety and The Artist in the Ambulance.

Over the years, Thrice has built a legacy of fearless experimentation, incorporating elements of electronic, ambient, and progressive rock into acclaimed records such as Vheissu, Beggars, and the ambitious four-part Alchemy Index series. After a brief hiatus in 2012, they returned stronger than ever, continuing to challenge expectations and explore new sonic territory. "Black Honey" (2016), a lead single from To Be Everywhere Is to Be Nowhere, marked the band's return to rock radio charts and reached #11 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and spent 32 weeks on that chart and reached #37 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs.

Now, more than two decades into their career, Thrice remains a vital force in modern rock. Their recent albums, including Horizons/East and its follow-up Horizons/West, reflect a band that is both rooted in its punk-rock beginnings and unafraid to push boundaries--delivering music that is as thoughtful as it is powerful.

Thrice is always amazing. Danfort music hall is my favorite place. Hopefully they will have more leg room at the balcony.

  • Memorable, flawless... as always

Thrice never disappoints. The setlist they chose for this tour was excellent. Lots of the new songs from Horizons West, but an excellent mix of songs from their earlier albums. I believe new fans and the old fans were represented. The performance was excellent as always from all band members. The lighting they selected really blended well with the music. I encourage all post-hardcode, alternative rock fans to listen to Thrice's discography. They have evolved so much over their 27 years. Always maturing along the way.

  • Awesome show

by Vinnydrum on 2023-07-05Rating: 5 out of 5

Le show était excellent, le son était vraiment bon. Il y avait beaucoup de monde, on était un peu coincé. Les gars on donné une performance à la hauteur de mes attentes et ils ont fais un excellent choix de set list.

  • Magical!

It was a magical night! Being first row right on the gate is really a different experience than being far behind, it’s really immersive! The crowd was insane! Haha Thrice gave an awesome performance, as always!

  • Amazing show but not generous to the fans

    by Juju86 on 2017-12-01MTELUS - MontrealRating: 4 out of 5

We’ve been waiting over 5 years to see Thrice play again. It was tremendous to have the opportunity to sing along with them. The only hiccup; they played 1 hour and no rappel. So unfortunate and so not generous towards their fans who had been waiting impatiently !

  • Amazing Concert

by DanielJ on 2012-06-17Métropolis - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Being Thrice's farewell tour we knew we had to make it, and the band did not disappoint. I've been a long-time fan but have never been close enough to make it to a show, being from the the East Coast. We sucked it up and drove the 12 hours to Montreal - and it was totally worth it.

  • Farewell To Thrice... For Now!

by Steelcity on 2012-06-13Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third time seeing Thrice live and they have never disappointed. The set list was perfect, couldn't have asked for more. Closing out with Anthology was a fitting end, although one day I will attend a Reunion Tour concert I'm sure. It was great to see the show from the front row but the kids in the mosh pit were annoying as usual, as were the crowd surfers. Way to ruin it for everyone else! Also, when did it become cool to be 40 years old and 50lbs overweight and then crowd surf, kicking and flailing on people half your age? Thrice can't do much about the fans that attend, couldn't have asked for a better performance from them!

  • One of the best concerts of 2012 for sure!

    by lespaul98 on 2012-06-13Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great opening band (O'Brother), was unreal. During Thrice's set, I was blown away by how tight and how good of a vocalist Dustin is. They played a bit of everything, from their early stuff to their new stuff. It was great. Good crowd, and a big mosh pit (for those of you who enjoy them). My least favourite part of the show was that the sound was WAY too loud, and that the Koolhaus is ALWAYS overbearingly hot. AC and/or fans would be a good choice.
