About

Bay Area native recording artist and songwriter, thuy, is setting herself apart in today's pop R&B scene. Raised with a rich Vietnamese heritage thuy grew up inspired by early 2000s pop and R&B idols like Britney Spears, Brandy, and Mariah Carey. In 2021, thuy emerged onto the mainstream stage with her debut EP i hope u see this and its breakout single, "universe". In 2022, she followed up with her sophomore EP, 'girls like me don't cry', and won the hearts of fans worldwide. 2023 proved to be a life-changing, reaffirming year for thuy. as 'girls like me don't cry', became a viral phenomenon and catapulted her into becoming a globally recognized star. The single gone to generate over generated over 10M TikTok videos, over 3 billion views on YouTube Shorts and more than 30 million views on YouTube. The track became a cultural lexicon and was named one of the Top 10 Global Songs on TikTok in 2023.

Crossing over 650 million streams to date, thuy shows no signs of slowing down. Having been named People Magazine's #1 Emerging Artists to Watch in 2022 and landing a spot on the industry coveted Vevo DSCVR's Artist to Watch list for 2023 thuy has also garnered praise and support from premier publications and editorials including Billboard, Rolling Stone, Paper, Nylon, Vibe, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Wonderland, Flaunt, and NBC. In addition to making chart-topping hits, thuy continues to prove her star power with sold-out international tours, major festival billings, and collaborations with major brands such as Google, Samsung, Levi's McDonald's, Zappos, crocs, Foot Locker, and PUMA.

thuy has carved out a space for herself both within and beyond the community of self-made Asian-American musical artists that have emerged in the streaming era and continues to cement her name on the global stage. This year, thuy made history as the first ever Vietnamese American artist to be on the official Coachella bill and has been featured in fashion editorials such as Vouge, L'Officiel and more. With her latest project, 'wings', thuy more than proves that her star quality has staying power and that her celestial voice, unrivaled songwriting, and knack for earworm melodies was here to stay. Pushing herself sonically, 'wings' gives a glimpse into the new era of "thuy" as she is poised to further solidify her name in today's pop culture.

It was really fun! I wanted to sing with her but I was so shy when the staff was asking around who wants to sing with her but that was a great interaction with the fans ☺️ Thank you so much!

Thuy was such a queen! Her performance was just as good if not better than her recorded album. Venue was nice, not too big, would have been nice if the stage was a bit higher for visibility

    10/10 amazing

Thuy was amazing and her opener was just as enjoyable! Worth the 2 hour drive to toronto. There is a parking lot 1 min away so its perfect. Id reccomend for the stage platform to be a little higher for the crowd to see better. Other than that, good security and amazing concert.
